Nonsense twice over f***ing goalkeepers honestly, i was one for 10 years and I really cant understand how they constantly evade criticism. It's his 6 yard box ffs That ball was never in a position for Given to deal with it. which is why our feet aren't glued to the pitch when we play football. Given should have come off his line a lot earlier to deal with it You've missed the point. He had no chance to come for that ball. Keep trying to be contrary though he had all the time in the world tbh, it was bad goalkeeping

I think a lot on here would disagree with you, but just about every manager in the Premiership would agree with you. which is why they were all snapping our hands off when Souness put him up for sale for £1m
-
still a s*** CB. Much more confident with Colo and Cacapa. Speak the same language (almost) and one of them is a leader
-
well that's why people are suggesting he replace Butt. I doubt anyone wants Butt and Geremi in the same midfield

thought Cacapa had a very good game today tbh, i'm a bit biased but think he's generally a very good CB
-
Of course and replace him with...???? Don't be so f***ing stupid http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/irony http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/arsehole

we all knew that this season would be a learning curve for Coloccini, as it is for all defenders who've spent their entire career in the Spanish/Italian league. Except of course for the truly world class and Coloccini, as i said before we signed him isn't quite world class Him and Cacapa could be good together imo. Both classy and intelligent, once they get on the same wavelength we should be ok there, at least till Jan anyway.

i think he looks good when players run with him tbh. It's all still fine tuning tbh, he'll come good, very good
-
to be fair to Owen what you see is what you get. Give him service and he looks a good player and if not, you rarely get much from him. and tbf, N'zogbia once again chose to aim for the opposition's disabled supported instead of the strikers
-
DMC in Butts role. Much better option. until the return of prodigal Jospeh i'd be up for that to be honest
-
he must hypnotize each new manager with his champions league medal the week they get the job disgrace that he's still in the squad, woeful player
-
what exactly was said? Talking about the writtten press & then goes on about the media, says something like: "There are phone ins up there by x-footballers, well I say that they have not got a medal between them" cheers mate he's right though tbf. The fact the show is called 'legends' is an absolute embarrasment

Nonsense twice over f***ing goalkeepers honestly, i was one for 10 years and I really cant understand how they constantly evade criticism. It's his 6 yard box ffs all I meant was I have nowt against keepers, the opposite in fact. But unless one spills the ball through his hands and legs people look to point the blame elsewhere and it's not right. Very clearly Shay's mistake there, it's his ball and he reacted with indecision, it cost us.

looks quality does Bassong. I'm still a Cacapca fan so i'd have him and Colo at CB atm but i'd be happy to see Bassong get his chance against the more physical strikeforces

what exactly was said?

... he did? Coloccini wasn't covering; it was poor marking. Given was unlucky to have two attackers bearing down on him with no defenders to help. it was poor marking. But to be fair most goalkeepers would be eating up that ball. Given's been good this season but he still has that huge weakness and most CB's wont be used to playing in front of a keeper with such withdrawn positioning Coloccini won the ball time and time again from what i saw, he did well enough
-
did well in attack today, still looked exactly what he is, a shit defender. But fair play, did well today at RB
-
Coloccini looked good to me, who's writing otherwise. Given's fault for the 2nd, he should be coming out for balls in his 6 yard area, it's his job
-
nah, it doesn't matter N'zogbia can be so painfully shit at times. Better than Milner but still a very very average winger, let himself down so many times today

Junior, what a guy
