As a CB? Based on what? At City he's seldom looked like a CB in the last 5 years. As much as we need a CB we certainly don't need one shorter than 6' and we need a solid RB much more in any case.

He's 28 and doesn't know how where to stand at RB. I don't see good things for him as he gets slower, either.

If one performance against Benteke in which he scored forms a large part of the argument in favour of playing MYM, it's a bloody weak argument.

It's an opinion with a pretty solid basis. Listen, I think MYM has the potential to be better than Taylor is, and here's another opinion: I think he will be, by far, in time. That said, right now Taylor's better suited to PL football by a distance, and by far the better partner for Coloccini.

I'm just saying, if Taylor's on the pitch he's the one marking Benteke and I don't think he loses him, either. He certainly doesn't just step away from the herd of bodies like MYM did.
