  1. Out of interest, what will your thoughts be on Pardew if he starts Jonas again? I remember you saying a while back that it was an issue for you. Lost all faith in Pardew tbh mate. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he starts him.
  2. Sorry, like, but there's no way even our best Xl is better than Chelsea's there.
  3. Do you watch enough German football to make that call, by the way? For whatever reason Ballack looked awful during his last 2 seasons at Chelsea.
  4. Every excuse under the sun has been made about him. I know he's a fantastic guy but it amazes me how much he gets away with.

Bobby put a lot of emphasis on energy and pace. I don't know the stats from that season but I'll bet we won a lot of points away from home. Dyer, Bellamy and Robert used to cut teams apart on the break. Add that to Speed and Shearer's threat from set pieces with some craft from Solano and we had a pretty potent mix. I said this a while back, but that front 6 is my 'template' for building a good side and probably always will be. Such a fantastic, functional and exciting balance. you'd chose that as your template over some of wengers arsenal teams and countless ferguson manyoo teams that had everything bobby's team had and more? Yes, given our budget.
  6. Is the truth. He benefits from his own ineptitude, much like Alan Smith did at times.
  7. So he pissing should. Graft is the only thing he brings to the team. Lets praise Tim Krul for diving at the odd ball while we're at it.
  8. The fact that Sergio Busquets takes the place of Mike Williamson in that scenario tells you all you need to know.
  9. Can't cross, pass, shoot or run. Mick's right, how bad could he be?

Last of the band to die.
  11. I'd have loved us to buy a genuinely exciting attacking player to take the pressure off Cisse and Hatem, but Gouffran may well surprise us all.

    Will be missed.
  16. Obertan's looked good this season more often than not. He's a very good option from the bench.
  17. Was he bollocks, man. He did well at times but still frequently looked a poor footballer.
  18. If you thought Jonas was excellent on Tuesday night you've absolutely no right to complain about the football we play for the rest of the season.
  19. It should be if it means he's not in his best position. He won't get a look in up there anyway when Hatem comes back.
  20. Why? Not quick enough? He's just more effective throught the middle from what I've seen and likely to get isloated out there. Hatem and Gouffran are better bets for the wide positions for a number of reasons.
  21. For me he's an alternative to Tiote in the games we should be looking to win at home. He should never play ahead of Gouffran and Hatem in the wide positions.
