Surely they can get someone better than Dwight Yorke. A gorilla would offer better analysis.

Can't speak for others but I'm not annoyed to see HBA on the bench for the umpteenth time out of any warped loyalty to the player - I just want to see one of our most talented individuals given a whirl now and again, would be nice. Completely agree. It just amazes me that Pardew gets this amount of abuse because one player is on the bench.

listen i aint got no problem with launching the ball long to two big men upfront but i do when one of them is shola who cant win headers to save his life never mind holding up the ball. i got no problems with HBA on the bench but i do have a problem with shola starting Ok, but the other 10 positions are about right given the resources we have.

I wanted Hatem to start too, but I can't believe the reaction to him being on the bench. Ridiculous. Some of you need to get a grip and be reminded of who you support.

That looks like a team now... like a decent team indeed. Not like a stupid team from a stupid manager. Fearing... It's a stupid team because one player is on the bench instead of starting? How NUFC has fallen. Park, Giggs and Ferdinand. How Ronaldo has fallen... he used to be able to count. I assumed you were referring to us with that sarcastic 'stupid team, stupid manager' nonsense.

For goodness sake.

One of those 'modern' players who'll play either side of a striker most likely. Sickens me, really. How I long for the return of wingers who run up and down the side of the pitch in a perfectly straight line, whip a cross in and then stay completely still in anticipation of one heffer of a striker nutting it in. I could cry whenenever anyone mentions Keith Gillespie. That's how football is meant to be played.

What on earth are you on about, Mick? I've made absolutely no attempt to hide from the fact I mentioned a threat of relegation as the time we're presented with a problem.
-
I asked at what point does the manager become a proble, you said "when there's a threat of relegation." I defined nothing, you did. You do realise that we are currently going through what is probably our worst set of results since relegation, don't you? If we are to improve on last season then we have to finish higher than 12th, we finished 12th but were 45 minutes from 10th. 9th actually. And you did define what he was brought in to do. Can't be bothered arguing with you if you can't keep up and perform your usual monkey routine of completely refusing to take the significant facts into account when they conflict with your argument.

It's a shame they won't be giving him an extra game.
-
That's a shame. Tanned gentlemen with Wearside accents go down a treat in Hull.
-
Pardew hasn't upgraded us and it was you who mentioned relegation not me. And it was you who defined the situation as target-oriented in relation to his appointment, yet completely disregard the fact that Pardew meets and even surpasses the implied benchmark. If the threat of relegation looms, we have a problem. If not, we maintain managerial stablity and continue to gradually improve the squad. Hasn't improved us.
-
We're not playing Barcelona, and we're at home. Positivity.
-
Contributing to goals is the primary objective. If you're scoring 1 in 3 and creating 0, you're not worth anything close to £20m.
-
A threat of relegation? He was brought in as an upgrade so why should a threat of relegation be his benchmark? Your second point, I agree with and that would be the main reason for keeping him. Funny how you only give rise to that benchmark when a inferior target is mentioned. Pardew has upgraded us, and you still want him gone.
-
We'll not be 7th much longer, at what point does the manager become a problem? Firstly, when there's a threat of relegation; secondly, when there's someone/something to solve it.
-
It's the opposite to the Xisco situation. He must cost an extra £1m if we don't give him 30 league games.
-
Should we have kept Souness because Shepherd had appointed managers who has failed? How on earth does that have any pertinence? 1) There was a contingency in place. Which is what I'm advocating here. 2) We were 16th, not 7th.
-
A goal every two games isn't bad tbh. He generally doesn't manage that, even with penalty-taking responsibilities.
-
Why are they putting Ryan Taylor on the LW?
-
That wouldn't be my problem and it's irrelevant to the question that was asked. A key replacement in personnel reduced to an afterthought to a knee-jerk termination; it's little wonder Mick's such a living success story with such great ideas.
