For the record I'd take him in an eyeblink. Off the field we don't need him; on the field we most certainly could do with a player of such fantastic quality.

He's not. He had some very useful attributes. We'd have gone down in 06-07 without him, and fuck knows where we'd be now if that had happened.
There's nothing to prove. If we want to beat Swansea it makes by far the most sense to play the partnership that has clicked to excellent effect in the past.
Would feel a bit harsh leaving Best out, he has been fantastic for us since we needed a replacement for Carroll (imo).
