I'd agree with this. We'd have to put up with transfer speculation from droopyface for the whole season. At least this way, it's restricted to January.

I think he gets a raw deal sometimes, but he's improved massively compared to last year and I think he's decent right back. It's his 3rd season playing as a regular and at 25, he'll keep on improving.

Try PNG or GIF for diagrams/text images, JPG is good for photos. Thanks for that.

Glad the article was well received, as I wrote it As for Taylor creating chances - 2 were from open play, 1 from a corner. 18th min - Attempt blocked. Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle United) right footed shot from outside the box is blocked. Assisted by Ryan Taylor. 55th min - Attempt missed. Michael Williamson (Newcastle United) header from very close range is too high. Assisted by Ryan Taylor with a cross following a corner. 72nd min - Attempt missed. Demba Ba (Newcastle United) header from the centre of the box misses to the left. Assisted by Ryan Taylor with a cross. Does this mean it's you who is responsible for using bitmap images on a website? I am. Is that bad? I tried converting to them to .jpg but the diagrams didn't look as clear.

I'm only going by what Opta are reporting.

I agree. Our next game isn't until next Sunday, so plenty of time to recover. I think Pardew would want a decent cup run and will play his strongest team possible. Did well taking West Ham to the final a few years back.

They also used the world famous "he has a lot of black friends' line. Classic. From Tim Vickery (BBC South American correspondent): http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16262537.stm

Has Bale played left back at all this season? I'm sure Benoit Assou Ekotto has much played LB in every game.

It's that bad, I'm truly embarrassed by it. My basic maths failed me big time here.

I think I'm talking bollocks here - just ignore me

I thought it looked wonky. but get a ruler (or anything to measure with) and it's right! And the yellow line doesn't need to go through the last defender, if RVP is offside.
-
That original white line isn't parallel to the 18 yard line. The yellow is. OFFSIDE! http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/5995/rvp2.jpg

That white line isn't even parallel to the 18 yard line! Fix it and he's probably offside.

Strange thing is that they weren't bound to the laws of seated stadiums - wonder they haven't done it sooner.

Ben Arfa made his debut vs Everton on the left last season instead of Jonas and was arguably his best game for us. Load of rubbish that he can't play on the wing.
-
He beats the full back quite well and does well to get a few yards, but he hesitates when he wants to put a cross, as if he's trying too hard to look up and pick someone out. Most of the time, you can just launch in it into 'the danger area' between defender and keeper and Ba or Best will have at least a chance of getting to it.

Did you enter a competition to win that? From your original reaction, it seemed that your name was plucked out of the air!

Newcastle United Vs Swansea - 17/12/11 - Pre Match Thread
Ocho replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
They usually play one up front whether it'd be Graham or Lita, so I don't think it'll be as bad as last week's performance. -
If it's Ollie Stapleton, he deals with the bookings for SJP for the public 11 a side games at the end of the season. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110311/you-can-star-at-st-james-park_2281670_2313695 He seems to do a bit of prize giving.

Agree. It would be a very sensible signing and would also appeal on the seeming 'resale' criteria. I thinks he's a great prospect and actually think he'll be a better centre half in the long run but it strengthens two positions in one bringing him on. Has he even got on the pitch this season? I read that he's the only player to have come right through their youth structure (and represented them more than once or twice off the bench I think) in the past 10 years the other day, shocking. Didn't Michael Johnson come through the ranks?

Why would you move our top scorer into midfield?
-
No bias here: EDIT: Sorry, didn't realise this was picked up on the page before.

Wasn't that just a one off, as UEFA wanted Wembley free for two weeks prior to the Champions League final? EDIT: Nope, same again this year. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/may/12/2012-fa-cup-final-premier-league
