Bet Victor gives you a free bet if one of your matches lets you down on your accumulator. At least 5 selections, I think. Will Hill does the same, but must be through their mobile application.

Just for the melee that followed the McClean tackle on Simpson. Handbags and that was it. Ridiculous to charge the teams for that.
-
They still have a few fast players apart from those. Everybody else in their team is manageable. Would have hated to see Walcott and OC have a run at either full back.
-
That averages out to less than 4 goals a season
-
Is Oxlade Chamberlain and Walcott injured for this match? I hope so - takes out all of the pace in their team.

After that 'strawberry syrup' interview, Ba tops the list. Closely followed by Krul and Jonas. Surprised Steven Taylor isn't further up with his fist pumping in front of the fans before every kick off. My 4th choice pick.
-
Saw this on facetube. Decent idea IMO Have you got a link?

Or Ba after his one against West Brom.

Can't be that. I did a piece on Simpson using Opta stats and he still comes out poorly compared to Santon and other right backs in the league. He's improved compared to last year, but he's not good enough if we want to progress. http://www.eplindex.com/10411/simpson-santon-compared-to-rivals-opta-stats.html Does that mean you have a subscription on there? If so, can you do something on the frequency with which we use the long ball and how that has changed throughout the season? Could do. Interesting point that. Just for reference - Wolves (h) 98 long balls, 50 successful. Wolves (a) 1st Oct: 75 long balls, 39 successful.

Aroma sounds rather pleasant. Perhaps 'a stench of mackems'?
-
I remember him coming on against Villa away and had a decent performance. Created a few chances including one for Cabaye, that he nearly finished.
-
I can't believe it's taking this long for a verdict. It's obvious that he's guilty. How can anybody think otherwise?
-
Most definitely, but the majority of the players mentioned have proven to us over a pretty good length of time that they have the ability and won't be the shitecunts that the likes of Owen and Duff were, the terminally absent like Viduka and so on and so forth. Captain Hindsight, maybe, but it just feels so much more exciting. Definitely more exciting - I was just being pedantic and pointing out that it's not strange to have a wealth of internationals in our squad.
-
Capello doesn't come up here. When he wasn't the last squad I gave up hope tbh. It's a highly competitive area in the squad to be fair. If Terry ends up getting found guilty on this racism thing it would free up a place and Taylor would have to have been considered at least for a friendly. Mind you the last time he was called up for an England squad his form went to s*** for what seemed like an age. Plenty of players deemed better than him by Capello: Lescott, Gary Cahill, Phil Jones and Jagielka come to mind.
-
Playing devil's advocate, our relegation season had many internationals as well. Given, Duff - ROI Viduka - Australia Owen - England Colo, Jonas - Argentina Martins - Nigeria Geremi - Cameroon Beye - Senegal Granted they were all older, but we've always had internationals in our squad down the years.

Is racist abuse still an issue in North East football?
Ocho replied to Big Geordie's topic in Football
I find that surprising, I have not heard racist abuse at a football match for years or even decades. Do you hear it openly or is it in conversation ? I've heard it a few times at away matches as well, but it's the odd incident. I've heard it shouted against the opposing players, but strangely enough to ours as well. Shola and Babayaro getting a bit of abuse. -
Pardew won't give him the number 9. Has already said the striker has to earn it - which is why Ba didn't get it in the first place.

Although it's a nice thought, I think the majority of these are probably just rubbish. The recent one about putting up tramps in the Hilton on New Year's Eve was a joke tweet that got out of control. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/mario-balotelli-a-hilton-hotel-new-years-eve-and-24-tramps

If anyone is interested, my tactics/stats blog on the game. http://www.eplindex.com/8532/newcastle-1-qpr-0-tactical-stats-analysis.html

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but @tt9m on twitter has put up an interesting post about the current transfer policy at Newcastle and of recent times as well. http://tt9m.tumblr.com/ And one website that he has reference - On Goals Scored - has some brilliant infographics on football. http://ongoalsscored.wordpress.com/

I can understand the likes of the Sun reporting it, but was surprised the Times had it on the back of their sports page.
