We are bidding too low and then walking away. It’s a strange and frustrating tactic. I wish we would just go for cheaper options rather than spending the whole transfer window chasing players we don’t clearly afford.
  2. My friend is huge Bayern München fan and he absolutely hated Thiago. He watched pretty much every single game and he thinks their midfield improved after he left, because now they have more direct and quicker approach. Not my opinion, haven’t watched Bayern enough to say anything.
  3. There’s only going to be one loan from Chelsea, because club cannot loan two players from same club. Probably nobody meant it here, but if it’s unclear to someone.
  4. I’m surprised and bit disappointed that we haven’t signed any young players from Europe or elsewhere. That’s our best way to spend less money when we find those players early. Hopefully our scouting network will improve massively soon, that’s as urgent as signing new players.

We have been preparing proposals all summer, must be damn hard to do it! ”Dear Benfica, We are Newcastle United and we would like to..”
  6. Horrible players like Son, de Bruyne, Firmino, Havertz.. and you can soon add Håland to that list as well. Not to forget how well Gundogan has played scoring 21 goals during last two seasons.
  7. ”Other options being explored” is the most common thing you find Twitter with #nufc tag.
  8. I have watched almost every BVB game during last five seasons. He has been pretty much on the same level as Pulisic. Many don’t remember that Pulisic was not guaranteed starting XI at Dortmund. Hazard is very hard-working and very skillful, the physical side has been the problem (same with Pulisic). Hazard can also play as wingback.
  9. There is lot of players we can sign without having to pay crazy fees, for example Thorgan Hazard and Julian Brandt. We just seem to target those who are not available, it seems stupid strategy and we are losing time with it.
  10. Borussia Dortmund has put Julian Brandt and Thorgan Hazard for sale. I would go for both of them. Also Akanji is available, but we are not in need for another CB. Hazard is good signing because he is very versitile. He can play also as full-back. Good work morale and highly skillfull. Probably available for £10M. Not the same sort of signing than Diaby, but has a lot of potential. Kind of similar to Pulisic.
  11. Atletico Madrid is desperate to offload Griezmann, let’s see how long it takes for media to link him to us.
  12. Linked to Bayern, but nowhere else for my knowledge.
  13. Heavily linked to Atletico Madrid, also Borussia Dortmund very interested.
  14. Adeyemi is completely different type of player than Håland, so BVB is still looking for at least one more addition to their attack.
  15. Borussia Dortmund have already signed Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck and Karim Adeyemi (all German). If Lewandowski leaves and Marco Rose finally gets results, it will be interesting next season. I hope BVB transfer business is not done yet, Sebastian Haller and midfielder (Kamara or Neuhaus) is something I’m hoping. Ekitike also heavily linked. Axel Witsel, Manuel Akanji, Dan-Axel Zagadou will all leave the club during summer, but with new signings those don’t matter. Also rumours of Emre Can, Thorgan Hazard and Julian Brandt leaving, but hopefully Brandt will stay. And really really hoping that likes of Nico Schulz and Marius Wolf will leave the club. However my prediction is that Rose gets sacked before Christmas (replaced by Eden Terzic) and it’s going to be yet another season of underarchieving. I really do hope not, but Rose has not been convincing. BVB is building a new era and I like the signings so far. There is also highly-rated youngster coming up, Moukoko and Bynoe-Gittens (English) as brightest ones.
  16. We absolutely need to go in for Nkunku, should be high priority for us right now. He is first player to win four times Player of the month in Bundesliga during one season.
  17. He hasn’t been as dangerous as he was before, but it might be low motivation level as he knows he is leaving. But yes, it’s true that after the injury he has not been that special anymore.
  18. Should be easy pick, what he has done for us is incredible. Statistically we were in place which nobody else has survived before and we are now 11th one point off 9th. I wanted to bring to statistics back because when it comes to previous years and all the history, we were in horrible place half way to this season (which nobody has survived before). Obviously this season is bit different (which was pointed to me earlier with respect), but still. This is HUGE. Massive. It’s almost impossible to believe we are still playing the same season we started with Bruce and Ashley. Absolutely mind-blowing!

I wrote this when the transfer window closed. He really has stepped up and become the player we wanted. I’m very happy to see him shine as he has potential to be a very good player for years to come.
  20. Not at all. We can easily drop down to relegation fight. Today was huge loss.
  21. Can we sign replacement if is out for longer period? Or is it that 25 registered players and can’t be added more? Massive massive loss. Just our luck ffs.
  22. This is how you want to support this club? I’m just glad we won and for me this is not a competition of who wins ””the best fan award”. Or well, if it is, then I’m out, because I like this place for the good atmosphere and great posts - and especially the great conversation I’m eager to read.
  23. I’m always the first one to admit I was wrong - and now it seems like I just should have listened to my first reaction, which was that he could fit in well. He has learned from his mistakes and improved our game. Hopefully it will continue like this, because we have lots of crucial battles ahead and although now it feels great, only one bad set of results sends us back where we came from. Long way to go still, I’m not getting too excited yet, but at least now we have manager who doesn’t repeat the same mistakes over and over again.
  24. YES YES YES! Sorry Howe that I doubted you, but it really seems like you are really modern manager who can learn from his mistakes. Work to be done, but keep on going.

    Mitchel Bakker

    Has been brilliant against BVB.
