  1. He's spent too much time moaning all season long about how football has victimised against ethnic minorities in management despite football making him a millionaire Nothing wrong with one of the only minority managers in the top flight speaking up about the issue. Agreed, but not every single week when he's a millionaire from football management Nah. He should keep shouting from the spotlight until things change. Same as Sterling should keep speaking out against racism in football despite being paid thousands a week to play. Sorry if that comes across as an attack on you as it's not intended that way.
  2. Yeah honestly, Perez injury seems the perfect time to give Muto a few games in that role now we're safe. Rafa must just not rate him.
  3. Fair play to Jake Humphrey not just agreeing with Owen's bullshit there.
  4. Ref has to send him off then. btw wat If a player refuses to leave the pitch, then ref has right to send him off. They should have just put the numbers up on the board. Not sure how in-date this is but was posted on Reddit: https://www.fifa.com/mm/document/afdeveloping/refereeing/law_3_the_number_of_players_en_47419.pdf Slide 5: "If a player who is about to be replaced refuses to leave the field of play, play continues". Not sure the ref could do anything about this. Mental behaviour from Kepa.
  5. Because if there is a second phase, knock down etc. the player is always onside (unless the keepers gone flying out). Apologies if I'm misunderstanding, but does that mean that if the player receiving the ball is further forward than the keeper, but still behind the defender on the post, they're still offside? Does the keeper count as the "last defender" regardless of any defenders that are behind him? Needs to be 2 defending players between the attacker and the goal line. If the goalkeeper is further forward than the attacker then two defenders need to be between the attacker and goal line to not be offside Wow ok, TIL. Thanks, didn't think I'd have more to learn about the offside rule at this point but there we go

  7. The Americans' hating this is the icing on the cake. What a ride.
  8. Not sure if it's the buzz of winning a WORLD CUP QUARTERFINAL, but I feel like we could beat either of these on our day
  9. They are, after. So you can miss the semi if you get your second yellow here, but all non-banned players start the semi-final with a clean slate as it were. EDIT: Sorry, late. Wasn't just rubbing it in
  10. Yup. Extra time, a few knocks, some suspensions. Lovely old job.
  11. Tagliafico & Banega (getting on) have been decent like. Icardi, Dybala & Pavon sounds good going forward though. Messi could obviously still be on the scene & effective in 4 years if he stays fit. Even if Messi's legs and agility go he could easily perform the Riquelme role at 34/35. Hope he doesn't retire because he has another WC in him if he wants it. Messi isn’t someone who can slow the game down, that’s not and never will be his game even as he ages. He’s finished at this (iternational) level now. A sub at best in 4 years time, but I feel his inclusion may be a detriment to the whole pysche or team dynamic of Argentina at that stage. Like taking Maradona to ‘98... I'm sorry but I disagree, or possibly I've misunderstood what Riquelme's role was as I have to admit I didn't see much of him. My point was more that Messi can play the number 10, sitting in between the lines and playing through balls like he did today for Aguero's goal. Once his agility goes I think he could still be a class player for Argentina in that role - if the team is built to accommodate that type of player that is.
  12. Actually clapped at that. What a move and finish.
  13. Everytime I see Ronaldo do anything like that huddle I feel like it's for the cameras. Is it cynical af to think he's setting it up for the story to be a second half where he turned it all around for his team?

    England

Was thinking exactly the same. It's all well and good getting an easier QF draw but we'd have to get there first, and I could very easily see Colombia knocking us out.
  16. I'm quite out of the loop, who is actually supposedly buying us then? This Staveley woman? I thought she was just a mediator/broker for deals rather than someone with lots of cash herself?
  17. Oh my god that's awful. RIP big guy, will never forget that thunderbastard equaliser against Arsenal.
