Embarrassing for you to admit publicly that you don't know ball
  2. Fucking loved seeing that pop up on insta. If Tripps goes then he should be made the captain, he embodies the club right now. Last season I'd have had doubts about his ability to keep his passion in check when needed, but after surviving what felt like 6 seasons on 9 yellow cards and avoiding a ban I'm fairly confident he can keep a lid on things

    Joe Willock

He absolutely loves that move. Same against Spurs when we demolished them. A fit and firing Willock is such an asset to this team
  4. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-CpTJuNm9X This midfield when up and running is going to be sick. Proper exciting
  5. Being in the ground for that is probably the best thing that's happened to me at least post-Covid
  6. I think it's more that we're more divided, many have moved to a more optimistic outlook in line with the progress the club are making, others are absolute misery-fiends and can't break the habitual belief built up over the Ashley years that nothing good ever happens
  7. 6-time French champions. So shit that it's come to that
  8. I feel like this dance has happened every single transfer window under this ownership where some of us lose our minds and in the end it turns out completely fine. I'm not worried, we've come out of every window stronger than we've gone in so far and this will be no exception.
  9. "Playing devil's advocate" "I'm just asking questions" "The Saudi's are ruthless, they won't stand for second best" All while wanking yourself into a coma, ad nauseum
  10. The irony is you're the one looking at this in "macro level" and just going "7th was less than last year, therefore BAD" without appreciating any of the actual context.
  11. Given the hand he was dealt he overachieved last season. Same as he did in the previous two seasons.
  12. See nothing at all to worry about in those comments tbh. Talks about the club and his role in it in glowing terms, he's going nowhere.
  13. Got a good feeling about this guy, a year to settle in, learn Howe's style of play, learn the language etc. Can't wait to see what he's got

    England

This is from the same guy who said Mbappe bottles the big moment, despite scoring 3 times in the last WC final. Take it with a pinch of salt
  15. Know nothing about Kubo but I want him purely on the grounds of being a massive weeb

    England

He's done a great job overall and history will be kinder to him than the present day has been. I'm grateful to him for helping me fall back in love with the England team and I'm gutted he couldn't quite get us over the line. Undoubtedly has his limitations but he's put the foundations in place for future success. Wish him all the best for the future.

    Copa America

Haven't seen a lot of Argentina, but don't get the impression that he's holding them back in the same way? He still seems to get his fair share of assists even if not many goals this tournament. Wouldn't be surprised to see Messi on the bench at the next WC, coming on in the latter half of games as needed (basically exactly the role Ronaldo should've been playing in this Portugal squad if he wasn't such a narcissistic bellend).

    Copa America

Glad to see Messi has picked up another international trophy. If the question wasn't answered already it's well and truly put to bed now

    England

The next iteration of this team should be quite exciting at least. I'm not sure who I would get in - the best English manager is Howe and I don't want him going anywhere. Potter maybe? Even that feels a little underwhelming. If we could get someone like Klopp even for a tournament that would be brilliant, as much as I find him annoying. Whoever it is has to be able to nit together a cohesive attack from some fantastic players to choose from: Gordon, Saka, Palmer, Foden, Bellingham are all young and brilliant. Kane is clearly on the turn, but I think he has one more tournament in him as long as you get pace running off him which is something we lacked this tournament. I've made my feelings on Southgate clear, he's done a fantastic job sorting out the culture of the England setup and has overall done a good job to get the finishes we have in tournaments, but to go that next step we need someone more capable tactically. Sad he couldn't get it over the line, he's built a lot of the foundation for success but it's really time for a fresh start now. If he stays on now it'll turn toxic so quickly, it's already happened over the last month. The pieces are there though for this group of players to continue challenging in the latter stages of tournaments for the next decade. I've come out of tonight obviously deflated but quite optimistic for the future - as long as we get the managerial appointment right.
  20. That was after the momentum had swung though. That sub felt more like a "oh shit this has turned again now, who can I bring on to get some energy back". I mean it probably was tactical anyway mind.
  21. If it was tactical it was a shit decision, no question. Felt in the game like the players got spooked as Spain started to come at us again but maybe that's because they were told to drop off and the momentum swung
  22. I've started to reach the age where I'm moving from "got plenty of time" to "I will die before I see a team I support lift a trophy" fucks sake
  23. Really needed to stay on their throats after the equaliser. There were 5 minutes after Palmer's goal (which was fantastic btw) where it looked like we could go and win it but we just looked scared as Spain started to attack again.
