  1. Aye, what a fucking waster. Turns down Saudi like some sort of big shot, anyone would think he scored our first Champions League goal in 20 years or something.
  2. Fate doesn't want him to leave the hotseat. Act of God extending this as long as possible
  3. Sorry if this has been asked or discussed, but is there a reason the PSR deadline is end of June? Why not align it with the transfer window?
  4. Shame to lose him if he's as promising as people say (I've never seen him play so can't comment). But if it means we can keep Gordon, Isak, Bruno, then it's an absolute no brainer. Great price considering what we paid a year ago.
  5. I've never felt so relieved to be manipulated
  6. Anyone giving Miggy shit for not wanting to move to Saudi fucking Arabia needs to look at themselves. He's not under obligation to move himself and his young family out to the desert just because it suits his employer. If the club has gotten into a situation when we need to sell to avoid sanctions, that's on the club, not any individual.
  7. This would actually be soul crushing. He's the epitome of everything I love about this current side, works his socks off, already lethal but with massive potential to grow, good head on his shoulders. His redemption arc after how things finished at Everton - I'd be devastated to lose him.
  8. Gordon or Palmer not starting after Tuesday is madness. Immensely disappointing
  9. Round of 16 round - deadline Saturday 29th June @ 17.00 Swizerland 1-1 Italy Germany 3-0 Denmark England 1-0 Slovakia Spain 2-0 Georgia France 2-2 Belgium Portugal 2-1 Slovenia Romania 0-2 Netherlands Austria 3-1 Turkey
  10. I think Austria go all the way before losing a valiant effort against France or Germany in the final. They've been so impressive
  11. Love this sort of thing out of the blue. Whether the intention is to flip him for profit or bring him into the fold when the time is right, either option is positive
  12. I like him, I find his voice weirdly comforting as I've been listening to him commentate since I can remember

    Alexander Isak

Not sure I'd accept anything for him tbh, he's completely irreplaceable.
  14. I agree it was, but I don't know about major - sure I read somewhere that the host country hasn't won the Euros since the 80s
  15. Definitely, the only concern I have is around who replaces Kane, but there's time for someone to come through. Watkins, Saka and Gordon all running in behind could be good in a different system
  16. 1 loss in 5, and we beat them when it mattered in the knockouts of a major tournament, something that is used as a stick to beat Southgate with for supposedly always falling short.
  17. I mean you don't have to love him. There's a pretty big gulf between that and "it's not okay to say the man should be strung up for failings at football management" which is the part I feel most strongly about. The argument has been had a million times, but I always find it funny that Germany is ignored from the list of "top sides" because they weren't in a good spot. That's always felt so pick-and-choosey to suit the narrative that we never beat the big teams.
  18. I don't really care how it's reading to you. I want us to win and win convincingly, it's sad that it's not happening because we might not win the tournament. I'm also sad that it's going to impact how this team and manager is viewed moving forward. I am capable of both. Hopefully that's cleared that up for you.
  19. I'm with KI and Yorkie on this. It's deeply frustrating to see it ending this way partially because it will rewrite the history of Southgate's tenure overall into something that just isn't true imo. It's been a period of relative success, the best in most of our lifetimes, despite the complaints that we only beat the teams we're expected to beat and have just gotten lucky (as if that's something that past England teams have done on the regular). The frustration that's always been there from some has turned into pure hate with the seeming vindication and it's grim to see, neither Southgate or the players deserve that. I really hope he sees the difference that Palmer and Gordon made when they came on and switches it up in the knockouts. We're on the "right" side of the draw, it's looking unlikely but if we click then it's on.
  20. Thought by now we might have collectively learned that saying genuinely rancid things on a public forum isn't the hilarious bantz you think it is but is actually just a bit shit. Much like England's performance tonight actually. Really disappointed Gordon didn't get longer on the pitch, made a big impact in what little time he had. Has to get more minutes in the next round
