I wouldn't want us to play like we did against Manchester United for the remaining 37 games to be honest. And why not? It was a gutsy performance, a courageous performance, and a handful of players played really well, but others were average and we lacked cutting edge. We need to retain the courage and the attitude and fitness, but we need to transfer that into a sharper brand of football. If we continue playing the same way, teams will see us off, and we won't get as many wins or points as we can. I see your point. I think that when Owen is back, and we get a decent attacking CM, more chances will be created, and the finishing will be a lot more lethal. This combined with the new gutsy attitude could see us become a real force imo.

Don't know if I really want him tbh. Whining little mercenary, exactly the sort of personality we don't want. I think KK will get someone decent enough, but that will actually want to play for us, maybe not as skilled as Arshavin, but works hard enough to make up for it.

I agree he wasn't awful, but he looked quite rusty and made some amateur mistakes.

Can't wait to see this team with Owen's finishing, and a creative force in the middle. We could be great this season if we get a few more in.

Given - Brilliant from start to finish, saved us several times. - 9 Beye - Solid. - 7 N'Zogbia - Bad, for christ sake he isn't a defender - 5 Colo - Decent, shaky at the start but settled very nicely - 7 Taylor - Quite good, we conceded when he wasn't there. - 7 Jonas - Superb, gonna love this guy, great work-rate. - 9 Milner - Not too bad, but can't shoot to save his life - 7 Guthrie - Very impressed, kept the ball and passed well, if we get a decent creative midfielder to play with him we could look good in the middle. - 8 Butt - OK, passed poorly at times. - 6 Duff - Didn't really stand out, but was decent. - 7 Martins - Took his goal well, and looked threatening most of the time. - 7 If Jonas doesn't get MoM It's a travesty tbh.
