  1. Hes the most injury prone player at the club, exactly why we should have got Douglas in. Good or Williamson on the bench.
  2. Same Got ESPN for this month especially. Hoping for two big wins Saturday. I'm feeling good about both games. However Fremantle just like Newcastle are capable of imploding. Are you from Perth originally?
  3. Im a Fremantle fan, nearly 20 years of zero success, much like supporting Newcastle. If we win against Sydney this weekend we are into the Grand Final for the first time in our history. Its made supporting Newcastle a little easier this year. Theres still hope for shitty struggling clubs.
  4. Its Anzac Day Game, tradition for Collingwood to play Essendon attracts nearly 100 000 to the MCG each year. Collingwood have fucking rancid supporters though.
  5. “FIFA has an opportunity now to make the best of a bad situation by embarking on a transparent and orderly approach, unlike the process that led to the original flawed decision in December 2010. “FIFA champions the notion of ‘Fair Play’ and that principle should apply to the decisions it makes in the coming months.” I like this bit, other federations should stand up and hammer these corrupt bastards.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

i think he can have a real break out season, much like Bale and Suarez did last season. He needs to stay injury free and keep his current form up.
  7. The Football Federation of Australia is demanding $43 million in compensation from FIFA, for the whole world cup bidding debacle.
  8. Hopefully we can scout a replacement thats more suited to being the advanced midfielder in a 4-3-3.
  9. Thought it was the correct decision actually at that point. Tiote is stronger defensively than Anita and that's what we needed at that time just to see out the game. Thought Tiote did ok when he came on and that's a role I'd be happy for him to continue as rather than starting every game. Disagree completely that Tiote is better defensively, he's just more noticeable because he charges around like a bull. Anita reads the game well and is decent in a tackle as well. Bit of a general comment but the term defensive/defensively is used really simplistically these days. For example, one player might be better in the tackle but a good defensive midfielder - above all else - is excellent in possession. It's obviously a massive cliche but the best form of defense is attack; you can't concede if you've got the ball. That's why Anita is, by a million miles, a better 'defensive midfielder' than Tiote is. Jonas is better as well, tbh. I just don't know what Tiote brings to the team these days. When we signed him he was the 'defensive midfielder we've lacked for years', but that was because, aside from the novelty of having someone there with a bit of bluster, he retained possession extremely well. But nowadays he's absolutely useless in the final third and a massive risk when played deeper cos he loses the ball a lot. Completely agree, tbh Tiote's best role for me what he was used at Twente before we signed him. Sub and bring him on towards the end to kill what ever momentum the opposition has to make sure we get the win. ( i.e. what we did yesterday) You watched a lot of him for Twente then I guess You didnt have to watch Twente to know the role Tiote was used in there. Its quite obvious from looking at stats and his attrbiutes.
  10. Top 6 is Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool. I think 7th to 12th will be contested by Everton, Newcastle, West Ham , Swansea, Southampton. I personally think we have the strongest starting 11 of all these sides, but any suspensions or injuries and we will be struggling.
  11. VIlla fans are calling us France reserves and are complaining that we are fielding a full foreign 11.
  12. Shola cant play 2 games in a week after travel. blessing.
  13. Wish he played for Australia the way he does for Palace, hes a colossus for them. Breaks up play brilliantly.
  14. Im feeling a win, think we will lineup like this: Krul Debuchy Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Santon Anita Cabaye Sissoko HBA Cisse Remy Bench: Elliot, Saylor, Dummett, Marveaux, Gouffran, Tiote, Ameobi
  15. The Romania striker Marica is still a free agent, could be good for us.
  16. Our 6-0 defeat not looking so bad. No wait, it was terrible.
  17. They indeed are. They were in a p*ss poor qualifying group, yet only secured qualification on the last match-day with 5 minutes to go against bottom of the table Iraq. Genuinely think if Australia was in the other group, they wouldn't have qualified. Their team is embarrassingly old. Yeh disgracefully bad. Only positives are Robbie Kruse and Tommy Oar.
  18. Sounds like Kinnear is fucking hopeless. At least under Llambias we signed quality players at good prices.
  19. Ive used mine. Gone for: Mignolet Zabaleta Dawson Koscielny Ozil Hazard Silva HBA Remy Sturridge Giroud dat midfield.
  20. Albion, Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Hull! Cardiff, Stoke. I think that's the bottom 7. Well sit just above these lot with Swansea, West Ham, Southwmpton and Norwich.
  21. I'm guessing Coentrao will play on the wing. Still the like of Giggs and Ashley Young aren't good enough for a top 4 side. Zaha isn't a starter. Only Nani and Valencia are on form. They are going to struggle, unless Kagawa is integrated into the side.
  22. They've actually equalized now. Dylan Tombides scored for them. Nice story to be fair, poor kid has battled cancer for 2 years.
  23. Dont think anyone believed that was going to occur. If anything whats gone on has confirmed that, Ashley doesnt want to waste money on players for Pardew, hes not convinced he can turn it around. Ashley will only spend money on deals. Think Kinnear was appointed as a job for a mate, with the potential to make life uneasy for Pardew.
