  1. I think he will go today to be honest. Some middle ground will be met and hell go for 17 mill. The player is clearly not happy here. Well replace him in January and stick with what we have for now. If we can get Ayew in that would be perfect for the left wing. In that circumstance we have to pray that Anita and Sissoko dont get injured.
  2. L’Equipe claim that Italian club Torino are most likely to sign Sebastian Corchia from Sochaux on a loan deal with an option to buy. Corchia was quoted saying: ‘ ”This is a club with good depth and has a good group with a good project. Yes, I want to go there.’ We should be in for him for some depth. Good young right back.
  3. You should get manuel fernandes back for that money

    Sunderland

Beautifully put. You would think they would stick with him for the season just because of the sheer amount of players they've let him sign. But he'll never make a top manager IMO, mainly because of his slave driving and public shaming man management skills. He's only really paid big money for two of them, the rest are mainly kids, frees or loan deals. However this Frankenstein team is going to be a nightmare for the next manager especially since all the quality has been sold and replaced with lesser players. Suppose that's one good thing about our regime, it's not the manager buying, therefore the vision stays similar if there was a managerial change. I was thinking exactly the same thing watching them on MOTD yesterday. Not having a DOF might burn them badly cos Di Canio will sign all the players then go in a huff when it doesn't work out. They look like a gutless bunch already. They have a Director of Football, Roberto de Fanti.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

In his first season he never tracked back but now he seems to do that a lot, so I can't see how anyone can call him lazy. My gripe has always been the same as everyone else's, sometimes he needs to know when to pass it to someone else. Despite this the guy is my favourite player at the club. I don't get the comments about him being captain come from, yeah I think his attitude has changed dramatically from what it was when he was at other clubs and yeah I think he's got passion for the club, however I just don't think he is a natural leader. Depends what you want from a captain. Most thought Cabaye would be decent, me included, and I'd argue Colo isn't really a leader. What Ben Arfa does do is drag the team forward when the chips are down. Colo aside I can't see who would be a good choice, certainly not Taylor Mbiwa and Sissoko certainly have captaincy credentials.
  6. Hes got a great touch and is very intelligent, plus he works hard and has a some pace on him. Will be a very valuable asset to our side.
  7. He was immense when given a run in the team last yeAr, as the one furthest forward of a middle 3. He has a great touch, good vision and can dribble.
  8. Krul Debuchy. Mbiwa. Colo. Santon Anita. Sissoko HBA. Marveaux. Gouffran Cisse
  9. So more of a goal scoring number 10. Someone like Siem de Jong.
  10. GW3 Man City 3-0 Hull City Cardiff City 0-2 Everton Newcastle 2-1 Fulham Norwich 1-1 Southampton West Ham 2-0 Stoke City Crystal Palace 1-1 Sunderland Liverpool 1-1 Man Utd West Brom 1-2 Swansea Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham
  11. It's a barbaric amount of money but they're paying what it's cost to buy him. Bale's the sort of player who could give Spurs a genuine shot at the title - it was in their best interests to keep him. If he were to leave, they would need massive investment to keep them in the title race. The fee they've received allows that. He's got shitloads of money to replace Bale but it's a huge test for Villas-Boas. I really wonder who they're going to sign. As if Willian's gone to Chelsea, for goodness sake. What a rancid club. What are you on about? Obviously it would cost them what it costs to get him. That works out for any player, any situation in life when you want to buy something, still doesn't mean that's his market value even in todays football. Bale is definitely not the difference between a title-challenge and not for Spurs. They look much more balanced this season and have made some very very good signings. So it's going to be Bale out and Paulinho, Soldado, Chadli, Capoue and Lamela in. As good as Bale is, that's incredible business. Are any of them anywhere near as good as Bale? Like Mole said it's impossible to say anything due to their different positions. But Soldado is one of the best strikers in the world and Paulinho is for me the best in the world in the box-to-box role at the moment. Capoue is an extremely talented DM and Lamela is a very good player. Bale is an excellent player, but I'd pick those four in my team 8 times a week over Bale. I can see them going for Alderweireld and someone like Christian Eriksen, double swoop.
  12. His goal scoring record for a striker is pretty poor though.
  13. If we sold Cabaye but signed that lot (well McCarthy, one of those three and Gomis, no real idea about Fernandes) it would be a really good transfer window. Definitely not happening. Id be happy with Cabaye going, a Cabaye replacement and Poyet as manager. For me the problem is 70% Pardew, 30% Squad depth.
  14. if Cabaye goes and we can get in McCarthy/Fernandes, Ince/Moses/Ayew, + Gomis. Id be bloody stoked, but I cant see it happening.
  15. I think if we played it like this today we would have won. Sissoko Anita HBA Marveaux Sammy Gouffran
  16. I dont see HBA as a #10 hes more of a maverick player that produces moments of brilliance. Not the type to slot through balls and create in the tight areas.

    Papiss Cissé

He relies on instincts and moments of brilliance to score. At the moment hes not reacting quick enough to anything, not anticipating anything and barely looks interesting.
  18. I think Anita is far superior to Cabaye in that deep-lying playmaker/ ticker player. Only thing Cabaye has over Anita is his ability to hit a freekick and the odd goal outside the box.
  19. To be fair, it was better than expected. We looked suspect defending the deep long ball, but most defences do. I thought Anita and Sissoko was a good central pair, Anita was man of the match and didnt put a foot wrong all day. HBA was off today, trying to do too much. Krul: 6/10 didnt have anything to do, but his touch looked a bit dodgy at times. Debuchy: 5/10 An improvement on last week, but got skinned by Jarvis a few times, still not good enough Coloccini: 7/10 Back to himself today, class as always Mbiwa: 6/10 Still adjusting and isnt used to the aerial marking required. Still a decent performance. Santon: 7/10 Looked good, got forward well and defended excellently Anita: 8/10 Was absolute class, Broke up play and set up the play perfectly Sissoko: 6/10 Looked good at times, still alot of improvement in his decision making and ball play HBA: 5/10 Always dangerous, but wasnt on form today Marveaux: 6/10 Not involved enough but looked good when on the ball Ameobi: 4/10 Useless as always, his touch is shit and constantly gives away fouls when an attack looks promising Cisse: 3/10 Terrible, looks a yard off the pace, hes not reacting to anything quick enough. Subs: Thought Sammy did well when he came on, Gouffran offered so much more to our attack, though that miss of his was terrible.
  20. We keep possession in general well, lacking cutting edge though. yeh we dont go anywhere with it. Need to be patient and keep passing and moving. Wait for an opening and then pounce. Its all a bit rushed at the moment.
