Not coming! Too good!

What's this s*** Dont agree with this either! Cisse, Ba, Cabaye, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Jonas Coloccini and Krul are they key players in the side. Santon is very close to being a part of this group, with a little more consistancy and work defensively.

£5M-£7M spent on a replacement for Guthrie seems just very strange though. Yeah i think Amalfitano is Guthrie's replacement..... this is more a quality addition to the squad that can play DM and in both fullback positions. Disagree from what little i've seen of both... Amalfitano appears more of an attacking midfielder so replaces Lovenkrands for me whereas Anita seems to player deeper... Either way they both look like technical upgrades... Are you seriously suggesting Anita would be a Guthrie replacement as in a mere squad player for us? Why would he leave Ajax where he is a guaranteed starter and in the CL to sit on our bench? Also, can't see us spending >10m on a "Guthrie replacement". No... I'm talking basic like for like style replacements to our squad... Not sure where he would fit into first eleven considering the positions he plays are currently held by our better players... Maybe more competition for Jonas and to rotate with Tiote/Cabaye when unavailable... As for a £10m fee I can't see it myself... I reckon if we got this lad and keep Tiote then Anita will replace Jonas as DM alongside Tiote in the 4-2-1-3 That would make some of my dreams come true! Jonas could then play in Ba's position against the big teams. Offering more workrate.

Which has just quoted what they read and what we posted (the NUFC Blog story) on here, passed it off as their own. I remember reading somewhere that the club is targeting versatile players, as it is more valuable to the squad. It therefore makes sense that we would be after him. Also Pardew went to quite a few Ajax games this season, supposedly scouting Vertonghen. However it may have been Anita they were watching all along. Dont get me wrong, he's the type of player we are targetting and need tbf, but i've just looked at nearly all the paper/internet stories i could find. Every single one has the line "his agent claims". Exactly as the fans blog site claimed, i cant find one direct quote other than what the blog is claiming. I agree. Its a possibility that it is true and thats where its at at the moment.

Same goes for Guthrie and Coloccini that day. What was the team that day? Given Beye Taylor Coloccini N'Zogbia Milner Butt Guthrie Jonas Duff Martins

Yeah he is very short, but tbf Tiote is aswell...... being short dont matter too much as far as DM's go. Makelele and Mascherano just a couple of many examples. I wouldn't say Tioté is a small footballer - not all all. His height is pretty much normal for a footballer. He's smaller than me so he's short Id imagine Tiote is quite big

Redknapp doesn't buy any players under 30 unless they're goalkeepers, in which case the minimum age is 40

Although the transfer window is not yet officially begun, the European clubs are on the starting blocks. Seeing the growing competition from Inter Milan, Newcastle has decided to move up a gear on the back of the rear-right Lille, Mathieu Debuchy. Disturbed by the attack that will launch the Inter Milan, the M & gpies have no time to lose. They go up a gear and floor seriously decide on the case of "Frenchy". The 26 years is a priority of the club and its coach, Alan Pardew and is sponsored by his friend Yohan Cabaye within the club. Accelerated tempo from the English, motivated by the fact that they might part with Danny Simpson, who holds the position of right back. Coincidence? The fifth in the Premier League moves to the concrete phase of operations. Newcastle is recruiting! Furthermore Mathieu Debuchy, the English leaders also have some names of players in the viewfinder. The Roman Danzé Rennes, versatile player, one of them. The Ghanaian international, Daniel Opare, is also one of the names circulating in Newcastle. The defender currently plays right into the club Standard Liege. Apparently, recruiting defensive, it is now for the Magpies!

I think hed be a fantastic signing and exactly what we need to rotate with Ba in that left wing role.
-
Not Worthy Of Another Thread ... however, the passing of an important figure in the game that we all love is more than worthy of its own thread. Rest In Peace Manuel!

Terrible! RIP

decent young player. Out of favour with new management as well. However is injured until November. Future German Intertanional striker i think.
-
yeh sexy bum
-
Looking forward to you making up things again, you know, for the laughs. Thanks babe
-
No idea, who we are going to sign. Im sure there are going to be a few surprises.
-
Never mind actually he tore his ACL at the end of the season. Wont be fit again until November. We have signed injured players before though.
-
If we keep Ba and Cisse, I still think Best will be sold, so well be looking at a young striker to develope into that role. What to people think of Pierre-Michel Lasogga? Hertha BSC were relegated and he is a 20 year old striker who has a good record of finding the back of the net. Struggled a little in the Bundesliga this year, but he is still developing. Would be a good pick up?

Can see them replacing with AVB.
-
Can see them signing Gamiero to partner Roux up front.
