What evidence do you have to back this up? From day one people said he's poor on the ball but a competent defender. It's nothing to do with where he is from. I take everyone didn't like Carroll then? Colback played for sunderland. People were on here raving about that Calumn Roberts kid. It's total bollocks. The only thing it has to do with is his play style. Hes certainly developed his defensive game alot over the last season, however hes awkward on the ball and not technically fantastic. These are two attributes that we as Newcastle fans value alot in a player, perhaps because we have been treated to players like Robert, Beardsley, Ginola, Cabaye Ben Arfa etc.

That was a very young starting line up from us . Average age of 24, thats with old man Coloccini in there as well.

I wouldn't say good but we were better than them. They were very, very ordinary and we took our chances when we created them. good away performance, only thing is we also play like this at home.

The only players in todays 11 that are droppable are Colback and Ameobi. Colback wont be dropped and there is no alternative to Ameobi until Aarons is back.

Hes brilliant in the front third, probably better than Debuchy there.

I think well see the best of him second half of the season, he plays a lot of one two's and is still learning about his team mates. Needs to get used to the physicality of games too, could work on his core strength.
