  1. Interesting how the games Won is so much better than other teams who have scored more and conceded less. For someone who bemoans luck he's certainly had more than most.
  2. 89 games since 5th place finish
  3. Footballing reasons is just as disgusting really. Uprooting a man's entire career and his family while he fights cancer... for a game.
  4. If it's in the program notes, he doesn't even write them. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/nov/22/fabricio-coloccini-newcastle-united-san-lorenzo That was before Jonas came back from his operation though.
  5. http://31.media.tumblr.com/7bb3fa9729cb172ef4f81016cddf68fe/tumblr_nfc18ytBfe1qz7guco1_500.jpg http://www.howitworksdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/tvstatic.jpg Any cheap designer could have arranged and colourised the photos into a mural where the badge was made up of the photos and looked appealing, like these ones. http://www.qbtpl.net/c4i/bush_collage_dead.jpg http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2013/6/14/1371203924422/Facebook-collage-008.jpg That just looks shit.
  6. What did he say and when? He wanted to leave in November 2013.
  7. The sort of goodwill a club like Villa got over Petrov, or Bolton got over Muamba is priceless. Even if you strip away basic human decency and make a calculated decision over the cost of supporting the lad (wages) v the cost of fucking him off (publicity) you surely come down on the side of supporting him 100% and letting him train and feel he has a place. It's incredible how low the club will sink in the pursuit of savings.
  8. Sports Direct employees don't get sick pay.
  9. Wonder how the squad felt about Pardew and the club after a decision like that. The slump could be a coincidence, but wouldn't be surprised if it was related.
  10. Good read generally but I would argue that while Pardew isn't popular, he certainly isn't unpopular enough. If he was despised in the stands with the fervent rage of members on here then he'd have been gone last season. That's what I was trying to get across when I said the vast majority tolerate him rather than backing him, as long as he doesn't endanger the club. There's a minority that would push for him to be sacked, even if we never dropped below our current position, but that minority includes most on here. It's a far more sizeable minority that the one that would be willing to hold up "back pardew" signs though, after ANY positive run of results. No-one between those extremes likes him or wants him at the club. They will live with it though, as long as relegation isn't threatened, taking their cue from Mike Ashley.
  11. About Pardew always being unpopular.... http://nufc-ashlies.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/alan-pardews-long-term-failings.html
  12. The awful Bill McGarry produced a better turnaround than Pardew during possibly the worst season(s) in #nufc history. https://twitter.com/MikeAshleyLies/status/533201844332675072
  13. http://nufc-ashlies.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/every-post-war-nufc-league-result.html Every postwar nufc league result by manager in one searchable, copyable sheet
  14. Makes you wonder if these wanker pundits are paid for a kind word. Like that Grimshaw tit off radio one tweeting about stuff to get it free.
  15. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/newcastle-united/9559108/resurgent-newcastle They're going on like he's come into a new job and turned it around Pulis stylee. It was HIS bastard form in the first place you tits!!!
  16. How many managers can say they have won as many league games in the last 3 weeks as they had in the 9 months previous? Wouldn't you be ashamed of that rather than crowing?
  17. People had me down as a fan of his because I've always been fair. I don't just cherry pick stats that make him look bad. I hoy up whatever I find interesting, good or bad. I'm under no illusions that any period of good fortune he walks into makes him a better manager. No matter what results we pull off, the performances are rarely at an acceptable level. Unfortunately his survival depends on the numbers rather than the spectacle, and he seems to be coming out of a punishing period with some of his better looking numbers of recent seasons.
  18. Pardew Points %'s 10/11 - 40.9% 11/12 - 57.0% 12/13 - 36.0% 13/14 - 43.0% 14/15 - 48.5%
  19. Same as the day he got the job. Complete charlatan as a manager and should be nowhere near Newcastle.
