  7. I'm starting to think you're mental. What's wrong with it, please tell? I'm starting to think you're mental. What's wrong with it, please tell? what's wrong with playing 3331?
  8. I have included Mbember at left back in my team as i do like him a lot and prefer him at left back defending against Ramsey and co to Haidara. Just for now it seems a shame to break up the defence that did so amazingly well at Old trafford!…but at the same time Jaanmat is a top quality player who looked superb in midweek…. Colo and Taylor played so incredibly well its hard to just drop one of them after performances like that. Mbember and Colo also looked far from convincing as a partnership and have conceded 4 goals in the two game they played together ! I think that was more to do with being up against forwards who were much more of a threat in the air. Man U and Arsenal don't really have those type of strikers. giroud?

Aye but tbf, if they didn't go to the match it'd be impossible for them to see their BEST mates and 2nd cousin once-removed. Where else can they have a quiet natter about fat uncle gaz and his latest relapse? What about those who are happy that the club's starting to act like a football club again? are they allowed to go back? No because you are not a proper fan if you go to games, not until it's been declared acceptable on twitter. You're killing the club, paying for a ticket and sitting on a seat is killing the club. Implies you don't understand the point tbh, what does it have to do with actual f***ing seats in a stadium and what doesn't it have to do with pumping money into an institution that has been wilfully neglectful of the playing squad, spiteful towards the club's fans and disinterested in success on the field. Ground should have been half empty years ago, might have seen a bit of investment or a new owner sooner. Whether the stadium is full or empty... MA will not give a toss. Too much money is made from TV and sponsorship deals, MA could easily offset the loss of the revenue from matchday by selling two players on high wages. The whole "giving money is killing the club" is totally wrong and wide of the mark. Of course he gives a toss. Gate receipts are his 2nd highest revenue source. Name me any businessman or company that would quite happily sacrifice that? aye, that argument is nonsense. never understood it.

now I absolutely do not know the ins and outs of the accounts, but wasnt the profit posted last year just a couple of million compared to the £35million this year? I just get the impression they'll spend what the club brings in. Could be totally wide of the mark.

happy face has touched on this a fair bit, but I honestly think the club will spend what it can afford. I don't think Ashley has spent the 50million due to fear as such, I think it's because the club simply had the money to spend.
  13. I'm not sure about it being a s*** move for his career. He could start for them it's a terrible career move for him Don't know how you can say that with such certainty. It could be but there's also a good chance it's the best decision he'll ever make Not even sure players give a f*** about how their "career" is perceived all that much anymore or developing into being better players who play 40-50 games a season. I'm sure some do but, just like for example Sterling, the majority just want to play for a CL team and make a s*** ton of money and anything else can go f*** itself. If a City or a Chelsea want a player, they usually end up there. Scott Sinclair, an average to decent player by most standards played for both. I doubt he cares that his career isn't up to much as a result, he made his cash and played for some big teams. In Stones' case, it would have been nice to see him stay and develop at Everton but as usual, once one of the big 4 come in, it's just a matter of time. Football's a bit f***ed tbh. Hate Chelsea, they're such a scruffy shithouse club, charvas who won the lottery 12 years ago. Maybe Everton are pleased at getting 13 times their dosh back too. Who the f*** knows, it's just a bit depressingly predictable to see it happen. Even as a footballing decision I don't know how anybody can say that Sterling's decision to go to City was the wrong one. He's going to play every game for a team that has a very good chance of winning the league. That move is just common sense on all levels Don't know about right or wrong so much as it's depressing as a fan of any but 2-3 clubs that you have no hope to hold onto any player anymore. I don't even know how much City wanted the player so much as they just decided they were going to have him and that's that. They have any amount of money to spend and no c*** is holding onto anyone they fancy. From the player's perspective, I don't see the harm in developing at Liverpool for another year or two at least. As a club, they p*ss on Man f***ing City for the better part of the last 60 years. I mean, who can't get by on 100 grand a week for a bit, no had to have the 200 grand a week. Got to have everything yesterday. I'm rambling, just find it depressing. The kid's 20 ffs, players used to get their big move in their mid 20's once they'd really proven themselves and done something in the game. Now you just need to look canny for a few games here or there and you cost as much as Zidane. it happens all over though, we've just took two of anderlechs best players, both 20. apparently. we pinched cabaye and debuchy. it's just the nature of the beast. players will want to play for bigger clubs and bigger clubs will take the best players.

What should the club do to convince you it's now running like a proper club again? I've never expected Newcastle to be perfect, I just wanted them to try. A Lot of that was aimed towards the cups. I've never expected them to quality for CL but I didn't want them giving up the league in January. Waffa place should certainly be targeted. communication has improved/is improving. I'm sceptical but I'm willing to look at it for what it is.

Well it clearly has. The Cups will be taken seriously for a start (If you believe McClaren - I've got no reason not too). The players signed are of a better quality than we've signed in the last few years. You say bare minimum yet we've got more options and a stronger bench than anytime I can remember in the last.... fuck knows how long. We still need more, which is why I said I'll wait and see what they do in the next 6-12 months. But there's clearly been a change in mentality, in my opinion.

I stopped going because the club appeared to only want to exist. There was no interest in Cup competitions and the 'coaching' set up was a joke with no signs of changing. We've now appointed (who I believe) a good Coach and has good staff around him. McClaren has made his intentions about the Cups clear and while he made a load of changes last night, it seems like he can actually win those types of games with a weakened side unlike Pardew. The club have invested in good players. They needed too and they have. While I wont be renewing just yet, some of the reasons I gave it up in the first place are being addressed. If it continues then I'll happily go back. I didn't give my ticket up because I cant stand Mike Ashley, I gave it up because of the way the club was being ran.
