Nailed it. How has nothing changed? there's a far superior backroom in place, we had John carver calling the shots for 6 months ffs. we've brought in three potentially very good players. de jong and aarons finally look to be fit. things aren't perfect by any means but f***ing hell, try to look on the bright side. Your missing the point I think, we are still run for the benefit of Ashley and his companies. We've appointed a manager who has failed at such clubs as Derby and Nottingham forest and who will remain manager as long as we steer clear or relegation. Yes the above is an improvement on Carver and Pardew but that's not saying much is it? Ok, we've appointed a manager who has succeeded at Boro and twente. he has also come out and said he will try and win a trophy. so, where do we go from here? Any manager should/would say we should try to win a trophy. Feel free to be optimistic but as far as I'm concerned it's business as usual with slightly more competence moving forwards. Well yeah but we have been actively trying not to win a trophy and now we (apparently) are, Nailed it. Well we are now (apparently) trying to win a trophy, so there's a start. yes, it's what every in should be doing anyway but it's one of the reasons I fell out of love with club. if they change that idea, then it's a positive move. the rest of my point was avoided so I'll leave it at that. I'm not going to sit here and be negative for negatives sake. ill call it how I see it. -

The most I've looked forward to a game in a long long time . come onnnn -
What's with the Anguish? We complain when the big boys take all the good players are we complaining when the mid table sides take them too? I think its a good sides outside the top 4 - 6 are signing quality.
-
Maybe he knows a couple of them might be on their way?
-
I just don't think he's particularly good at developing young players, also i think he knows it as well. Not that there's anything wrong with that though, all top managers have things that they are not particularly good at from Guardiola, Ancelotti etc etc all of them have significant faults and this happens to be one of Mourinho's. Since the moment he left Porto he's managed the richest clubs in the world and has rarely stayed at any of them very long. He's an immediate results manager, that's all that matters to him and he can get away with it because he's always ar cash rich clubs. if it suits him and it suits the club's, then there's not really a problem.

Yeah I reckon it could be decent. I'm certain colo Is better than he showed last year. shame we won't see the partnership this weekend.
-
That's fair enough, but I don't understand why anyone would go out of their way to spin everything in a negative light. What's the point? Lol the negative spin is usually correct though isn't it? we were talking about how much this kid costs and you turned it into mcclaren being up ashleys arse. it's playground stuff man.
-
this place is rough at the minute.
-
Can we at least leave the mcclaren bashing until he's lost a few games
-
I reckon we'll get Austin at the end of the window
-
pretty sure 500k was reported
-
34 million profit last year, around the same spent.on players. that'll be it until next year. spend what the club makes. this is how it will always be.
-
this week or all the time?
-
But won't be playing when everyone is fit, which is.the.most.important thing.
-
he's leaning back man, it's just a dodgy angle
-
I'm going on Sunday, quite looking forward to it. First game since that hull game.

Why does this apply to Cabella, and not Colback? Because Colback played pretty much every game last season and we know what he can offer. Cabella was ostracised fairly early under Pardew as he wasn't a "grafter" and didn't get back enough, so him given free roam to attack and not limited would be great. Cabella's always worked hard for the team. He got dropped because he wasn't doing well going forward Total minutes played - Colback 3129 Cabella 1943 Cabella will do better than Colback with equal playing time. It's not even up for debate about him going forward, he played in dribs and drabs, much like Hatem was subjected too. hba always showed he was capable though, he would drive at players, produce things out of nothing. I've seen very little from cabella to show he's capable of the same. when he gets his chance next year, he must start producing. @ thinking we'll ever have a player capable of HBA's skills again well, no.
