  1. Might be a cliche but I think if there's a good time to play them, then this is it.

    Alan Pardew

What a difference a year makes. where's the quotes from? Cant find any post match reaction.

  4. Its a dive ffs, just like the last two penalties he conceded. He didn't even touch him, don't see how this can be pinned on Debuchy.
  5. Didn't see contact but if anything it looks like he took a swing at Debuchy's leg. Come on man, he left his leg out, he was asking for it.
  6. He kept his leg out to be fair. In fact he didn't just leave it out, he even flicked it towards him.
  7. Really? Anytime we get anywhere near the final third we give it away far too easily. Anyone can knock it around on the half way line
  8. Has he even played? Or Marveaux? Irritating. Not sure how much time they've had each, would be interesting to find out. Can't be much.
  9. Thats a good point. I think it's easy to forget too. Look at laudrup kicking off six or seven weeks ago about players, they've since signed 5? Would never happen here. That's why we will never get a top manager under Ashley. It's just the same basic principle as last summer - and pretty much everything to do with the club these days - Ashley thinks he knows better than everyone else involved in football. Last summer we'd just finished 5th; there was no need to invest as we'd obviously be able to repeat it by default. This summer we've just finished 16th; there's no need to invest as we'll obviously be able to do much better by default. He and the odious people he employs to do his dirty work think they will win every gamble they make. Will we be better? Probably, it's hard to imagine us being as bad or worse. Is simply being better than 16th good enough for NUFC? Absolutely not. For me, there's been a big realisation this summer especially that Ashley is happy for us to simply exists, for the club to run itself. There is no ambition to succeed or achieve anything in particular. So in the meantime, we have to hope the players and manager can produce a decent cup run or a some decent results in the league. Pretty f***ing sad really. I think that realisation came last summer tbf. Well, coming off the back of a good season I was probably willing to give the benefit of the doubt. It's pretty clear now like.
  10. Last summer was a major fuck up though to be fair. We went into a new season with extra games with a centre midfielder we didn't need. And excuse or not we did have shocking injuries last year. But, now you're right. He does have a decent set of players to work with, no injuries, no Europe. For me, he's got ten games. I think he'll be out on his arse if we don't have a decent start.

  12. but why couldn't he get goals with HBA, marveaux, debuchy, campbell, cisse (later), cabaye, sissoko, gouffran, santon, anita against poor opposition? don't tell me there's not goals enough there to see of rangers and the tripe we've been playing....note i didn't mention goal machine shola either Well, two things about rangers, I didn't see it so I've no idea how we played or how many chances we created. But against that opposition, I don't care who is the manager, the players should have enough to go out and do the job in all fairness.

  14. Formations I agree, and it's annoying as fuck. But we've heard players talk about having much better pre season, working on retaining possession a lot more. There's been so little coverage of games that we can't really judge for ourselves, maybe today will give us an idea. As for goals, we need/needed a couple of strikers. We absolutely must get one more in.
  15. *TBC I know that's tongue in cheek but there's nowt to suggest yet that confidence and new ideas haven't been worked on?
  16. I think it's fair to say though that everyone is aware we needed a couple of strikers. I think if we'd had remy and gomis say, ten wed probably have bagged a few more.
