Couldn't give a f*** about the answer, because it's worthless. Even if he preferred Hughton as manager, he wouldn't say so. AS JH said, why he couldn't he just say that he respected them both or that they are both good in their own ways? You think Pardew gonna drop him for saying that? Or maybe he just believes what he said???

We could have easily have been in their place. But each time we've had the possibility to make a push we've been destroyed by injuries or suspensions They've been incredible lucky in some matches (Stoke, Sland ) Met teams that are totally out of form (Chelsea) or Man U when they had their central defense line out. That suited a defensive oriented team like Lpool perfectly. Will be exiting to watch them now though with many key players out. Listen, your point was, we are almost as good as Liverpool. Everyone meets teams that are out of form throughout the season, its where you are at the end that counts. Liverpool have a far superior front line that we do and it will take a lot of money to match it. I agree that with a few quality additions in the summer, we can reach the top 10 next season, but as it stands, we are not nearly as good as Liverpool.

It is naivety like. Tiote, Ben Arfa and Simpson are perfect examples of the Ashley way. Buy a player with potential for relatively low figure. See how the player performs. If well, protect the asset. Await big bid, reply by stating the asset is on a long term contract and only silly money will be accepted. Accept larger offer. There's no point in anybody getting particularly fond of a star player because they'll be off within a couple of years for more than they were bought for. The policy is a very good model - just not without it's risks - the key one being morale imho. Hence the talks with Nolan. Pardew will be arguing for a core of players to be here for the long term to ensure morale is ok and Nolan is key to this. I'm trying to rack my brains, but Carroll aside, who else has been sold that was part of that Model?

So it never happened you mean?

Really? Which newspapers? I dont remember that at all.

I think we really need to concentrate on bring people in rather than selling. Of course get rid of the dead wood, Smith, Loven, Xisco but there is no need to be selling players like Simpson at this stage, out squad is small enough as it is.

I agree, sell all of our players. We dont need them.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
Elliottman replied to Pilko's topic in Football
100% agree. I find it also really peculiar that immediately after yesterdays match, many users on this forum would seek out Liverpool message boards to 'see what they think of Carroll now'. His NUFC career is over, we should all move on. Why cant people be curious like? Why cant people keep an eye on former pleyers? Jesus. There has to be a right and a wrong doesnt there? Can people not be free to do what they want? Im not obsessed with Carroll, but I found it interesting to see his new fans think. Its not that i havent moved on, its because im a football fan. The amount of rights and wrongs and should and shouldnt's around here at times is really tedious. -
According to the press.
