This is a f***ing wind up surely? He did give away the ball really cheaply at the end, which led to the counterattack they scored from. Saying someone is slow and is unable to retain possesion from a 10 minutes sub appearance after 6/7 months out is barmy.

He was outstanding today, ran the show.

Where is that quote from? -
fair play, like I said, its early and I cant see properly.

Maybe its because its early, and I cant see properly, but you post has totally confused me. I dont know who you support? You want Barton on the right, but dont think the Liverpool fans will be happy with Seb Larsson? what don't you understand? Right, Im assuming Liverpool have linked with him? Anyhoo, saying you dont want to sign him because you'd rather have Barton on the right is crazy. Considering the result we have just come off.

Sunderland v Newcastle United pre-match thread - Sun 16th Jan at 12!
Elliottman replied to Beren's topic in Football
Exactly, this is the first derby in ages I don't feel really nervous about. Unless they beat us heavily, which they don't do to anyone regularly, we hold the bragging rights for the season. I don't feel nervous about it because I've already come to terms with the fact we will probably lose, as I don't believe Nolan and Smith are capable of competing as a central midfield pairing. You are only as good as your last win so the bragging rights will be pretty worthless unless we get a point. Now this lad speaks sense. The 5-1 still hurts you doesnt it? -

There is nothing positive about Tiote being banned for this match. Well sorry then, but we might aswell think positive because im pretty sure the FA wont rescind his card. I agree, I am thinking positive. But there is nothing positive about Tiote being banned is all I was saying. -

Fucking hell, people spout some bollocks at times.

Insurance has got nothing to do with it. LAG are agreeing to a 2 month loan, Spurs want it for the season, you can't have Beckham occupying one of the 25 man squad only to leave after about 6 weeks. Same with the CL squad. AEG, Spurs' Olympic Stadium partners and investors in LAG, are trying to sort out a compromise. He's LAG player though, if you dont like the 2 month loan deal then fuck off - is what I would be saying. Im not telling you directly to fuck off.

FA reject unfair dismissal appeal from NUFC for Cheik Tiote
Elliottman replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Agreed, if the feet are off the floor, you are out of control. Fair do's he won the ball, but if the other player had put in an unexpected burst of speed and been where the ball was, Tiote wouldn't have been able to avoid a potential leg breaking tackle because he was off the ground. The ban will stand end of! Mate at work is a ref, in his opinion there's a good chance it will be overturned or the ref will admit he got it wrong. Just to give everyone a little hope before its taken away! : ) -

Any idea when we will find out about the decision then? -
He'd have drawn a load of fouls etc which would've won us more set pieces but the way they were going today we could still be there now and we wouldn't score one. But....... we did score?

What is the point of a manager? What is his job? Ahhhh I forgot the 11 on the pitch dont matter eh?
-
Maybe so, but Joey Barton is more than capable of producing from the left against these. Like I said, that starting 11 should be winning this game everyday of the week if they have the right mindset. People disagree with managers decisions all the time. Sometimes you have to place the blame at the players feet.
