Everyone seems to be missing the point that JFK is here for only two months. Long term his explosive methods would be ill-advised, but in a desperate situation to turn things round as quickly as possible it could be a master stroke. We'll see over the next few games. I think it is worse because he is on a short term deal. No-one, be it the players, the fans, and the press have no motivation to respond positively to a shouter. The players weren't exactly responding to quiet and nice Chris Hughton were they? Who says anything about being quiet? It is possible to be passionate and motivational without fighting the players. Remember what happenned to Sir Bobby, players undermining him over minor constructive criticisms because he was leaving the next summer. They'll take one look at Kinnear if he starts mouthing off at them like he did the press and think: "I'll be here after you've gone" i think that was only a certain few spolit brats as well. I dont think this squad seems to have that same attitude problem.

Don't talk such utter sh*te. It doesn't matter if Joe got on his knees and licked their boots - the b*st*rds will ALWAYS invent crap if it isn't already there to blow out of proportion. They've done it time and again in the past - they have never done any other. The only way is to treat them as they are - verminous snakes. INCLUDING so-called "geordies" like Shaun Custis. Alan "licks southern journos for free" Oliver too. Bob Cass less so, I would say. Embarrased he's upset the journos ? Jeebers, man..... If my manager did something like that, I'd at first have a "go on, get in!" mentality but really, I'd be effing embarassed. Personal opinion really. Dont understand that really...I much prefer our manager coming out fighting and putting the media in there place which should have being done along time ago. Also Its not like Everton get anywhere near as bad press as Newcastle do to be fair. Hence why if they did, I'd probably be more pleased if the manager did get stuck in. Kinnear has been smart in that he won't have the time to build up a relationship with them, I just think the way he's blown off the handle isn't going to help things. As long as supporters don't pay too much attention to what the idiots in the media generally have to say, then there isn't too much of a problem. youve hit the nail on the head though, people DO believe what the media print.

so basically the club is cursed because things arent going well and people are a bit down, however when KK comes back, people will feel better and the club wont be cursed anymore?! ... thanks for that you useless bunch of slimey cunts!
-
fuck that, theyve got a cracking pair of adidas 5 a side trainers for £30! Yes please!

He's really impressed me, not just with his swearing, but his general attidude. I havent come across many fans that dont like him either, yet i get the impression that the media are still trying to get over that fans dont like him?
-
id love him back tbh
-
I'm pretty sure you forgot to put a wink at the end of that pretty sure he didnt
-
what, he hasnt had a piss since then???
-
there is no way this can be true. I simply refuse to believe it.
-
Duff will play. It seems Kinnear already has got a hard-on for him.
-
thats so depressing.

Aye, true. You know this club. You just don't know what's around the corner. It really is a roller-coaster ride. Hopefully we'll have the last laugh. As for Kinnear, Mick Quinn hit the nail on the head on SSN when he said the appointment was underwhelming, but at least he might offer some direction on the pitch. He's someone we ordinarily wouldn't touch with a barge-pole however. i just think the new owners cant possibly make the same mistakes as these numpties, if they bring kk back, no matter what people on a message board say, i think it would lift everyone (again). I think money will have to be made available, and believe it will. Maybe im thinking with my heart and not my head, but i just think after everything has happened, we'll get back on the straight and narrow sooner rather than later.

As bad as things are, i cant help but feeling there is a tiny bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

Is this the worst time you have had being a supporter of NUFC?
Elliottman replied to kane2005's topic in Football
thing is, at the moment things are bad, but i really think things could dramatically improve over the next few weeks. (i hope) Whereas under those other people you mentioned, it was just plain shite with no end in sight until they were inevitably sacked. im still hoping i can use the phrase, those who laugh last, laugh longest one day. -
