  1. Depends on how you remember that era I guess. I’d had a season ticket throughout the Ashley era (and before) and absolutely detested most of it. Rafa , for me, brought back a bit of passion and hope, he was a class act, we ended up playing some good football. For me, I’ll always remember that era without a doubt. This period under Eddie is obviously different.
  2. Pretty much bang on other, I see the argument for a big score for Murphy but for me 8.5/9 max. I had others ahead of him before the second assist. Bruno was fantastic too. Great team performance.
  3. Rafa and Howe represented/stood for different times. Rafa was adored because of what he achieved with a minging owner - and stiff up to him in public. He could never have hit the heights Eddie had under Ashley. Rafa will be remembered for bringing hope back, making us feel like a proper club and team again. He had us United. But Eddie has genuinely been world class since he came in. Even now I think he’s criminally underrated. What he’s done has been incredible, bordering on unbelievable. We had Schar, Jamal, Burn , Murphy and Longstaff starting today and we looked as though we could compete with the best. He’s an elite coach. Both Eddie and Rafa will be remembered for a long time but for different reasons.
  4. He was excellent again today. Proper player now.
  5. The young lad looks like he’s had a few sleepless nights based on the photo of him rocking up at the stadium.
  6. It also goes against everything Eddie said in his press conference yesterday, bullshit.
  7. That’s a bold prediction mind.
  8. I keep saying it but I’m sure it’s an internet thing. I never meet people with some of these mental knee jerk reactions in real life.
  9. Watching this back tonight with a few runs, fucking hell, we were fantastic. The shape, the press, the commitment. Tonali, Bruno, Miggy, Gordon, all stand out but everyone played their part. I hope we never lose this feeling. I hope these nights never get … boring or routine. This is what it’s all about, special special nights that will live long in the memory.
  10. I need to go to bed but I’ll say … I’ve never experienced SJP like that and im 39 years old. I was there for the 4-4 I was there for the 5-1 but tonight, the stadium was just about full with 30 minutes to go to kick off and everyone was singing the whole game. also, nod to the PSG fans, they helped create a great atmosphere, they were so loud until the 4th. What a game. What a day.
  11. That’s what I’m experiencing, all seems good natured and they’re being marched to the stadium. Atmosphere in town is growing, feels totally different from a normal match day. There’s a massive buzz. Privileged to be experiencing it with my little un’
  12. Ah ok, just assumed they'd be staying there given thats in a hotel and all' Shouldnt clash with 'The Gate' radgies after the game then.
  13. A lot of the French staying at the Maldron by the looks of it, should make that area interesting after the game....
  14. Emotions kicking in now after seeing a few of the clips of the last page. Time to start blaring the champions league music to wake the kids up and sit and watch the clock for the next 10 hours. Work right next to SJP, hoping we’ll hear some rehearsals of the music ?
  15. Who was the man United defender who launched it, lost it then just jogged back? ??
  16. We’ll find out tomorrow at 7pm.
  17. I think he done well today and he’s certainly improved under Howe but the drop off from Botman is huge. Still looked nervy at times on the ball and forward passes Botman would have played were kept simple or sideways. Not knocking him , he’s got his limitations but Botman will be a huge miss in the bigger games.
  18. Isak had an off day but he knew it, could tell when he missed that chance towards the end. One of those days, normally ice cold. 3 in 3 though, hopefully got the stinker out his system.
  19. I really like him, he’s got great feet. Feel like he just needs to believe in himself a bit more, boss it a bit. Still not 100% sure what his best position is mind. Great, important squad player.
  20. Thought he was unbelievable today, his work rate was insane. MOTM for me, followed by Bruno/Miggy/Trips
