Gordon FFS man, useless

We should have been out of sight by 20 mins, instead we now sit nervous wondering what mentality is like 2nd half

Crying out for attacking midfielder and Bruno/Tonali sitting deeper to create space to play/slot in Barnes and Wissa more.

Kind of feel it's going same way again where Burnley grab a goal early second half, Howe sits on it and we end up losing. After that start just lost a bit control

He needs a creative attacking midfielder, arguably more than any other position. Games today and yesterday only 2 teams played 433 and one was arsenal, most the rest 4231 as best structure to play, we need to move away from the 3 flat midfield, link man links 2 in centre, wingers and striker and will be crucial for us. I do think Hall could play there, he's got the technical ability, passing and dribbling as well

Howe has a lot of influence even in game, timing of subs and who subs are, switching the way we play - how high we press or how to organise ourselves or changing it up mid game to counteract opposition. Yes players responsibility to execute the plan but Howe has shown he doesn't see the danger and adjust, it's the same thing every game and too late to make subs or wrong subs - yesterday bringing Barnes on right was wrong move, as was bringing Woltemade off when should have paired with Wissa when we needed a goal.

Oh and won 3 less than those seasons and scored 10 less goals.

We are already 6 points worse off at same stage on season compared with last 2 seasons (29 points at this stage) and 11 worse than season we finished 4th. We are struggling more than last time played Champions League and can't see how it improves without different types of signings to improve how we attack teams.

He has but when will he realise sooner the need to change. Can't always throw away half a season and hope to recover it in New Year. Bad form happens, top managers realise and change it. He's looking more clueless every game and that's the problem. I want him to turn it around but this can't keep happening and he needs to evolve the team which he isn't doing.

If he's a top manager wouldn't he have planned to cope with it. Other teams play in Europe as well and have had better seasons than us, see Palace and Villa. It's not an excuse really and yes we have had injuries but he's getting nothing out of Gordon, Ramsey, Elanga, Tonali has looked poor recently, Bruno gets overplayed but also makes silly mistakes. He perseveres with systems and players that aren't working. The effort hasn't been there at times in terms of intensity and aggression, it's all been passive and weak as fuck all season.

What is he trying to do as I don't see it? Not being arsey, I just can't see the plan anymore.

He signed Ramsey and Elanga for 95 million, refuses to budge for lesser players from abroad at times, I hope new transfer policy has younger cheaper players come in as spunked a lot of money to be sitting mid table with our rivals well above us

Really?? What's he shown this season to suggest he gets next year as well. Have you seen how shit we have been, the in game mistakes, the lack of a system to get goals or not concede. We look trash and nothing suggests he knows how to get us out of it, we have Burnley on Tuesday and a loss may show some that we need a change

He's bang average, maybe worse. Good players show their worth in games to get a hold of it, he's mostly just a bystander and doesn't step up when needed. Utter shite

He's had how many away games now and even at home hardly electrifying, whatever the plan is it's horrible to watch and we don't see connected to create and score. All that possession 2nd half but fuck all composure where it matters to get us back in it.

Playing Barnes on right and keeping Gordon on was fucking retarded tbh

He signed most of our team and they can't play dynamically and don't know what they practice in training

Get Wissa and Barnes on now and have half a chance, take Gordon and Ramsey off, having extra midfielder doesn't seem to help us now anyway. Get Tonali and Bruno to sit a bit deeper but look for those patterns

We are nowhere near them when they have the ball, and no threat when we have the ball. Watching when we have possession in middle, no moves to drag players around of open space, it's just static as fuck. How do other teams find pockets of space so easily, because they actually move and play on half turn, we play way we are facing. Really do wonder what coaching and tactics are being put in place because it looks shit and like they have never played together before. We need to start creating space and having more runners. Also need to realize most teams know acres of space behind our midfield in front of defence so end up getting cut through far too easy. Whatever Howes plan is it isn't working and hasn't away from home all year so maybe change it, do we want to counter attack or be a possession team, if counter just sit deep and have 2 or 3 players ready to break, if possession work the other team out of position more. Game feels over at 1-0 and Man U aren't even good.

Playing Gordon over Barnes is criminal tbh, Gordon not bothering to cause problems at all.
