We've needed cover at left-back for 8 years. we may need cover but we need starters in attack and centre half
-
signing a left back when you need a striker or winger, fantastic
-
I was shocked but not surprised when pardew decided to replace all 3
-
he really has to go now like, surely they will change it. todays result was all Pardews fault
-
without a doubt my lowest point supporting this team. total embarrassment. blame the fans ? I pay 600 quid a season to watch you while you pick up 20,000+ to play a game, cheeky cunts
-
Even if you consider lack of transfers, i find it hard to excuse replacing our 3 centre midfielders and leaving jonas and shola on. As well as the bizarre decisions he has made all season, I see nothing to suggest signings will fix this
-
Anyone still backing this cunt ?
-
Will sign for someone else. I reckon its how other clubs are playing it this year. Wait until we agree fee then they can wade in and offer same
-
Class technique
-
Was 1-0 at half time though
-

-

Nigel Adkins sacked. Mauricio Pochettino appointed new Southampton manager
nufc4eva replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
This is the kind of thing which worries me about Pardew going. Unless we got someone who knew the league and how to hit the ground running then we might have missed our chance to sack him. I'd be gutted if Pardew went on Monday and we appointed whoever this is, for example. I would happily see Pardew go if it was Martinez or someone with a good reputation. If Martinez then I think would be worthwhile even in this mess -
Yip, the fact we took the league by storm under Keegan was the best thing I have seen in supporting us. We were a fantastic team to watch

Cool, looks like we may have a way out of this relegation battle. Truly bizarre decision like -
How's he doing with Swindon, what approach to football does he have? Not a bad shout on at least he would fight
-
Definitely, if we lose then the fans will turn in a big way I feel. Patience is running out and the board don't seem to be anything to change that A signing that would excite fans could have made it so different. If we start playing hoof ball from the off then the fans will turn quickly I reckon and the Manager/Board have brought it on themselves
-
I think it was alright. There's clearly potential and even if he fails to fulfill it at least it was worth a try for the price. He's fucking terrible as will Ngog be - tragic
-
All this controversy etc is not going to help us stay up, always a fucking drama
-
The importance placed on every little quote is absolutely insane. It's bordering on obsession. So he might have said '3 or 4', now he says '1 or 2', it's not like his answers to every single question actually affect NUFC transfer policy. Everyone needs to grow up. It's more a deep concern that we cannot seem to get bodies through the door, we need players in the right areas not a random left back or attacking midfielder we need players up front and in centre defence, and it needs to be players that can shore us up rather than be world beaters at this point
-
If that 1 or 2 aren't at least a Centre Back we are screwed. We need at least 2 not 1 or 2, we have lost 3 fucking strikers since May and not brought 1 in. We are leaking goals left right and centre and need a Centre Half. Honestly man I would fucking settle for a reasonably competent player up front until the summer that isn't Shola.
-
So that would be the 2 or 3 he was saying from the start? It was actually up to 3 or 4 last week, now 1 or 2 and soon it will be a player back from injury and 1 signing. Then before you know it we are into "we tried" territory. Familiar feel, gutted to see this club being run in such a way. No clear approach never seem to get where we want to. We make everything seem much harder than other clubs and it shouldn't be. If we can't get the "A" players then maybe we need to adapt and adjust and bring in gap fillers on short term loan / contracts. Why can't we sign the odd 29 year old on a 2 year deal - fine no resale value but fuck me the money you lose by going into the championship next year and not bouncing back will be astronomical. Ashley is a business man and it's all about managing risk, if the risk of going down is high and has a high financial implication then try and fucking mitigate it

I would snap their hands off for £25m personally, he's good but not 25 million good, lot of cash for a keeper
