Players like Bony, Downing, Redmond, Bent would have improved the squad as a whole. I cant believe we never went for Redmond tbh. Bent and Downing may not be ideal but they are both better than Shola and Jonas. If we sign one more player I would rather a genuine winger than striker, Ince or Sinclair. Signing some of the players may be against our policy as they have little return value, but they would improve the team and our current players would look better as a result, especially Cisse if he is getting service

Remember we very rarely have a good plan b. It's not our way to have an alternative lined up.

If we could just go out and spend 20-30 million on quality up front it would pay itself back, instead we just piss about for ages and everyone knew what the outcome would be a month ago, we never finalise deals, albeit maybe we should be stepping back on this one.
