Think Norwich could have a decent season this year, seem to be doing some good business. Where the fuck were we with Redmond deal btw, ideal youngster for us. Worrying thing for us is that teams around us are keen to strengthen such as Scum, Villa, Swansea, Southampton, Norwich. You could say a few of them needed players more than us but we are shockingly unbalanced and missing good players in critical areas.

Over a year ago really now. Although we were quite good in January, we fucked up massively last summer and seem to be making same mistakes this summer. The summer when we got Cabaye and Ba was best for a long time. I would settle for selling a player or 2 if we can just get a winger and striker over the line, convinced if we can get a couple of dynamic players up there that it would transform us. Maybe we have to lose Cisse and Cabaye and use that money to bring in 4 players Winger, Striker, Striker, Centre Mid - more dynamic than Cabaye

I think he looks absolutely terrible when playing deep for us. Why does Pardew keep mentioning keeping him ffs just shut up, you don't have to keep saying it.

Not happening, won't sign anyone and likely to lose a player or 2 (Wouldn't be surprised to see Cisse and Cabaye go with sub standard or no replacement) Can't believe how hard we find it to get players in, we are the most unprofessional team in the league and completely shit at what we do. We clearly don't have any other scouts than Carr, wish we would expand and look at some other leagues to get players that don't have french nationality or speaking box ticked. I would like a variety of nationalities.

Chances are most teams in the league will do better than us, doesn't make them any good. Predict the scum will finish around 13th this season, us in 16th unless we get some strikers in

We actually played 4-2-3-1. Jonas and Tiote played behind Cabaye. Really thought it looked more a 4-3-3 with Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa up front the second half of that season. Looked better than this s*** that's for sure. It was exactly this. GT what you talking about son And we broke with pace and intent. Ok we got bummed all over at Fulham, Spurs and Wigan but better to watch than this shit. We caused havoc against some teams especially away from home.

Think we still need a Tiote type in the centre of the 3, just behind two more attacking midfielders - Cabaye and Sissokho would be my choice I dont think we do, can you think of a good team in the top 5 or 6 who have a tackle as Pardew puts it. No but they have good tactical players, not sure we have players that are good tactically and disciplined which is why we need that type. May be worth a try but requires us to be a lot better at closing down off the ball

True, in this formation we just look lost, very static and lose the ball easy. No passing or movement at all and very side to side or diagonal, looks garbage to watch

Lots of ifs though..... i would just scrap it altogether and switch to 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2. ( we played 4-3-2 in the second half so it must be in the back of his mind at least) Any combination that includes 3 central midfielders works for me, Tiote also better with that. 2 centre midfielders causes us no end of problems. 4-2-3-1 became popular a few years ago but can produce horrendous football if you don't have the right players to work within it. Worked for Man City but even they found it tough last season.

Maybe it would. Would like us to get players on the wing that drive forward with the ball and make full backs work like fuck. Need a lot more creativity on wings

Really needs to abandon the formation he has us playing now and tactics, needs to either get the players for a 4-4-2 or go to a 4-3-3, we are far to static in the 4-2-3-1 it's awful. When we finished 5th I think we played 4-3-3 a few times and it looked more fluid

Completely agree and i also felt the change in system suits the team a lot better than the 4-2-3-1 does. Personally i don't see how Cabaye and Tiote can work as a "2" if you are going to persist with the 4-2-3-1 then one of them has to be omitted from the line up IMO. But as i said if we can get a couple of strikers in i'd be tempted to switch to a diamond 4-4-2, you could say the fullbacks could be exploited but that is easily prevented IMO. I think 4-3-3 suits us best of all even with Jonas in there. We started to look better with Marv on. We need Tiote sitting with Cabaye and Sissokho either side or Anita. Ben Arfa on Right, Someone other than Jonas/Oberwank on left and Cisse or another up front (Not shola). 4-2-3-1 would probably work if the 3 attacking midfielders had good movement and the centre could link up the play. We don't appear to have the players for that, although Vuckic may be capable long term
