More likely to get Dirk Diggler tbh - would shaft other teams I suppose

Yeah I don't get this, surely you just phone them up, say "parlay vois anglais", then shout "Remy 4 million pounds" and wait for an answer Simple really, doesn't take that much getting ready
  3. Could quite possibly get half if 3 London clubs want him. Is that a great idea? I mean, I know it's Simpson, but our squad is thin and it's not gonna improve if we always sell as many players as we get in. Maybe keep to summer would be best bet for us

They bid 10m + SWP so in theory 8m from us will be accepted. Sounds plausible

    Doing a Ben Arfa tbh

MONg must have been sacked I reckon if they are signing foreign players

Racial abuse of him or a member of his family no doubt, "ship them all back to Africa" - in quotes as probably from RTG in few months, not my words - I ain't no racism
  8. Aye need a good grasp of English to take in Pards tactics and set up like. Whats "go long" in french?
  9. In some respects all we need are a handful of Purple players such as Colo,Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse etc and the rest to be competent football players not superstars. Likes of everton have a few handy players in Baines, Fellaini and Pienaar, Jelavic the rest are competent but would struggle if just dropped into our team imho
  10. Whatever happens we need Anita and Marveux on pitch, hopefully with Cabaye also. I suspect Jonas will come back in and play left wing though, instantly removing any value of Cisse playing through centre. Obertan should start left wing really, but no idea who would then go right - maybe Anita with Cabaye and Marveux just in front of Perch

May as well move on, I think I have seen this played out before and we lose with no player at end of it.
  12. Its strange that Sammy etc get a chance and not a supposedly more experienced player - albeit in french 2nd division it must be better that the experience Sammy has and he looks a clever player on and off the ball

    Alan Pardew

Problem is it has only been last few games trying to play a 4-3-3 and even then he decided Cisse was a winger. He only tried it as a last throw of dice because his 4-4-2 with long ball did not work with Ba and Cisse up front - which was not a shock to anyone here. In the 4-3-3 we ultimately have players like Anita, Marveux, Bigi, Cabaye that will thrive and the former two certainly have looked better - again no surprise. However he will then ruin it all by putting Jonas left of a front 3 or making us play rigid even in that formation. I think with decent right Back, Centre Half - Ben Arfa on right and another winger/forward on left we would look more fluid. Allow the midfield to interchange but ensure they know when to fill in and when to attack (If cabaye launches forward, someone needs to sit in and vice versa, if Debuchy runs forward Anita needs to cover)

Yup. See the sad thing is the majority of owners really aren't all that different from the majority of fans in how narrow minded they can be as far as hiring a manager goes. The first reaction when you suggest a change in manager on here is usually, the typical 'who can we get that's better?', which always baffles me. It always seemingly has to be someone everyone has heard about that is a proven success already. I gurantee if people had suggetsed Laudrup, had he not already gone to Swansea, he would likely have been rubbished by most, as having not proven anything anywhere. The priority though should really be to look at the manager's approach and philosophy, and the potential to marry this up with the clubs current assets etc. Although I can't necessarily name them all, I have no doubt there's at least a handful of managers that can come in and make far better use of the players we have, and implement a style of football that is bettersuited to them, than Pardew ever could. It's been quite unacceptable from Pardew really. You need to scout managers as you do players and look for the qualities, you need to have an idea of what you want to achieve and find the appropriate manager for that job. We don't seem to know what manager we want or care what style they have. Our owner/chaircunt need to look at background of managers, how they deal with pressure, their apparent strengths and weaknesses etc - exactly as you were hiring a manager for your company, you would ideally look for someone to progress there department well or just carry out your commands (Chaircunts idea)

I would go and get Martinez the founder of the style and also nab the Swansea chairman

I'm not too sure I agree,Swansea play a very very different game to Martinez/Rodgers. Much more direct, replaced players, more forward thinking. Also If liverpool are struggling with that style, then half a season isn't too bad from where they were under Dalglish. They may not be challenging the top four but they are streets ahead of us at present. Agreed on Mourinho. He took his style and imprinted it instantly on chelsea. However, like you say Pardew has had a long time to try and implement something from the ground up. He's spectacularly failed, we dont seem to have a discernible game plan ever Swansea still play good football with a basic principle of retaining the ball. They just move up the pitch quicker and have more of an edge to them thanks to De Guzman and Michu mainly. He has been able to evolve there game well so far because they already have the foundations to build on. When you have a team that already know how to do the basics well and how to play it's probably helps in tweaking the style which is effectively what Laudrup has done

    Alan Pardew

To be fair, for Laudrup he already had a mentality and style at Swansea to progress and develop. Our style has been broken for years and needed starting from scratch, unfortunately Pards does not know how to set the foundations
  18. Don't think it is brown, they had a colour for different roles also, from casino days I believe
  19. Yip, however his policy has brought us Ba, Cisse, Cabaye, ben Arfa, Tiote, Anita, Santon, Debuchy, Marveux in last 3 seasons. Not bad really. The problem is the mindset that someone needs to be sold to offset this, even if Simpson / Williamson goes we need that squad player. We also need to develop players like Sammy, Tav, Fergie, Abeid, Bigi, Amalfatino, Streete, Campbell, Inman, Dummett to be capable of playing in the team. It's up to the manager to work that one out as it could solve a few problems really. Getting a few of those to being good players to bring in with right mentality, tactical nous, discipline etc would save us a fortune but we need the coaching and management to drill it into them because tactical and discipline seems shocking in all but Bigi - never seen Streete obviously Inman ? The guy was scoring and creating goals for the reserves earlier in the season and didn't even get near the first team.... What has happened to him ? He's over 20 now isn't he ? On loan at Crewe now, tbh he should have been out at 18/19. Sammy, Ferguson, Tav etc could all do with loans at Championship clubs for a few months. Not sent to Scotland or anywhere, we need them getting that experience and confidence in the league below us for a full season with the hope of bringing them into first team the year later or sending out again if not quite ready. We are hopeless at developing players tbh
  20. Oh definitely his through getting ridiculous managers, this time round I would say a mixture of Management and Ownership if we went down. Not bringing in CB and RB in summer was sheer stupidity considering our collapses against Fulham, Spurs etc last season, however Pardew in my opinion has still had chances to win games with good players available and has fluffed it big style

Difficult because of young side put out on the field. Hoped to get to 60-65 minutes and then bring on Marveaux to provide magic. Anita and Marveaux started to dictate near the end. Perch injured at HT. Disruptions knocked us out of rhythm. Young players gave their all but shouldn't be representing us. Second yellow was a nothing challenge, criticised player for making a meal of it. Says we gave it our all after the sending off. Bigi and Anita best players. Tavernier better at centre half which is perceived as his best position. Elliot solid. Not enough big players. Thanks fans for support but maintains that the club must maintain Premier League status. "Goutierrez" will be back for Norwich, maybe Cabaye and Taylor. He keeps going on about a little bit of magic to get something. If you want that sign Harry Potter, Dynamo and Paul fucking Daniels you stupid cunt
