Whoever we get I don't want them to be british whatsoever. We need a manager that can coach and make us play as a team both attacking and defending. Maybe a punt on Poyet, Zola or Martinez would be best. When I saw the lineup I would have preferred Haidara but I certainly wasn't griping about Jonas starting there too much as I could see the merit in it, hes been playing well there for a couple of games prior to this one, it also allowed a more attacking player such as Marveaux to be occupying the space Jonas would usually play and be ineffective in. Complained as soon as seen it. I hate the bloke and hate the fact that Pardew always finds a way to include him. He is the most limited footballer in the team, where Haidara appears capable of passing the ball, defending etc, Jonas gets ball, runs in straight line, falls over / loses ball. Rinse and repeat, he is an awful footballer who has no place at this level anymore I suppose I will have to take your word on that one but I don't think the actual starting lineup was the issue yesterday, it was the gameplan or lack thereof that f***ed us over, not to mention the substitutions. The main inclusion in the starting lineup that p*ssed me off was Tiote, what exactly has he done this season to merit a starting berth over the likes of Perch and even Anita? Hes been turboshit all this and big parts of last season. I just don't think Jonas is a full back or winger. He has performed reasonably in a 3 man midfield before and maybe uses his strengths better there. I think if you have a Left back in the squad he should be the preferred player in that position

Pardew makes some monumental mistakes game after game. I think switching formations at half time was one of the biggest fuck ups also, as was Ben Arfa for Cabaye. The bloke just doesn't have a clue. He went to 4-4-2 with Sissoko on the Left and he doesn't look comfortable there. The 4-4-2 played right into Sunderlands hands and resulted in punts up to Shola (Krul can't even kick the ball that far so ends up dropping just over half way leading to pressure straight back on us). Add to that the fact that Shola did fuck all and our midfield was now wide open, Jonas at left back, it was no surprise what happened. Total shambles and Pardew consciously made those decisions. Players can be blamed for lack of effort but my word Pardew has no clue how to get this team to play football

The most bizarre thing and sums Pardew up totally is why would you play a midfielder at left back when you have a left back available. Said the same about Ryan Taylor playing left back last season,

Is it not the managers job to motivate the players and get performances out of them? While I agree had this been a one off, its totally symptomatic of the season, and ultimately something that deep is management related. It's the managers job to motivate and develop a tactical plan and also play to our strengths. Krul is so uncomfortable and shit at kicking the ball out that we have to keep the ball on the ground.
