  1. He's perfect as the main man in a mid-table club but no matter what people say about the fact "his touch is better than people give him credit for", his strength is bullying centre-backs and that means more direct football. Think he'll be perfect for West Ham and Big Sam knows it. This, not a top 4/6 player but more than good enough for a team that will play to his strengths
  2. It just needs a team to play to him, West Ham perfect for him tbh as he will get enough diagonal balls and crosses in for him to score a few similar to us under Hughton, at Liverpool it was never going to work as they play a totally different game. Same reason I did not want him back as I think we have moved on and are trying to play more possession football on the floor and I could not see how he would fit in for us. Because of the way West Ham are setup it will work as Allardyce has always been about the second ball and with Nolan, Vaz Te and Taylor its setup perfect. Will be interesting to see how they do away from home though as i'm not sure that style will get you very far these days
  3. Yet the only Fulham player that has bothered his arse. Diarra is doing everything in midfield. Sidwell just keeps losing the ball and dwelling on it too long, along with Richardson. Richardson is making Duff look good
  4. Fulham worse than shit, Don't know who else they have to come in other than Berbatov but look total garbage in midfield and at the back tbh
  5. I think he will go 4-3-3 and he should, traditional 4-4-2 has no place in this league, it makes us far to rigid and when you have cabaye, ba and Ben arfa you need a bit freedom which 3 midfielders gives us, should be jonas, anita, cabaye in centre for this
  6. Keep taking your meds mate it will all be fine, or we can win championship again You disagree with the straightforward Logic? Keep taking your meds mate it will all be fine, or we can win championship again You disagree with the straightforward Logic? Everton and Liverpool do not have better squads than us, everton strengthened with mirralas but already had piennar at end of last season, Liverpool are light weight in a few areas, who else will challenge - Fulham n Swansea my guesses but consistency will be their issues. Also above us Chelsea, man u, city and spurs have spent a fortune, spurs may or may not be improved but have spent quite a bit after selling 2 of their best players something no one on here would accept us doing. Arsenal look much weaker losing their best 2 players. Chelsea I am unsure about, they have bought big but time will tell if they may be a bit lightweight. Teams like qpr, scum, west ham have bought but needed to they were shocking, we aren't, now I may be totally wrong and have been pessimistic in past but choose now to look at the positives for us as we know transfer window never works for us

  8. What a depressing, but very probable true statement under this ownership. Because we sold one player for far more than he is worth? And got Cisse, Cabaye and Ba with it its the best deal we have ever done considering we strengthened and Liverpool now have a 35 mill striker on loan at a promoted team We have not seen any proof we are a selling club, they just say they want players with a resale value which is fair enough and good business sense, if someone offers 25 mill for 1 of our players we are not in a position to not sell financially, the player may also fancy winning the league which we wont do and thats not Ashleys fault. 25 mill might get us 2 10mill players with wages and we may have replaced and improved in another area, its kind of the only way we can grow. The most important thing is that replacements are bought, I know we had to wait until Jan for cisse but we got Ba in the summer. We need to only sell at beginning/middle window though to give ourselves a chance
  9. Simpson has more pace than Perch, but Perch reads the game better and is calm on the ball - never seems to panic, Simpson treats ball like hot potato, the key is having options all around Simpson to keep him playing very short passes. The main issue with him is his backing off or losing discipline, seeing the ball just hit the back of our net and him pulled up on 18 yard line is to familiar, imho he needs to just concentrate on defensive side and let the rest attack, yes it restricts any overlapping down that side, but does hatem really need it, would at least stop us getting ripped apart on counter which happens to often. Santon is not perfect either but he does not back off, is good at carrying ball and retaining posession while his positioning is not always great, he does not constantly need the short pass option as his dribbling is quality, would like to see few crosses from that side though as him and jonas don't really provide that

    sunderland

We all knew he would only sign British based players for over the odds or just shit. Johnson looks decent, Fletcher seems ridiculous amount for a 10 goal a season striker, Danny rose don't know much about but always looked shaky at back to me, saha will be injured most time, cuellar is Mr totally average. They have improved but at what cost, expectations will be massive. It may work. Out for them or their attacking 4 may show up clattermole n gardners real weaknesses, sess, Johnson and Fletcher wont defend, McLean will, which means there 2 average fuckers in the centre will have a job on there hands. I think they will finish around 10th though as a lot worse teams in division.

Hope Swansea ruin all their dreams today, back to the anti-depression tablets I hope

    Alan Pardew

We've only played two games. So after a long break you don't think they should be at least fit and interested for the start of the season? because they haven't looked it to me. Cabaye has looked totally off the pace, and his passing has been sloppy and Cisse just looks like he's tredding water atm. I just think it's a bit ridiculous saying stuff like "Tiote's looked miles away" when he's played one game, which we won. We've had better starts than most of the teams around us. Why is it ridiculous to point out that what should be our most influential players looked off the boil? It's the start of the season ffs, they should be raring to go, not looking like they are still on their holidays. We won against Spurs but looked 2nd best for most of it. And against Chelsea we were asleep the 1st half and got punished. We will see against Villa if they pick the pace up. We have played 2 of last seasons top 6 and won one, don't think that is bad. Cabaye barely played preseason, cisse/ba/tiote just finished ramadan. We will be fine once cisse fires in his first goal which I think will be tomorrow.
  14. I know but they had further to jump. To improve us we needed Debuchy and a backup forward, we got neither which is frustrating but we are still better off than most teams. I think Spurs/Chelsea will move away from us but Arsenal will end up out of CL this year. I think Liverpool are not much stronger either. The other teams while improving do not have the quality we have throughout the team
  15. Are they further ahead than us though? - they had some right dross and need quite a few players. We already had Ba, Cisse, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Krul, Colo, Taylor, Jonas, Santon etc. Even looking at their squads now they are not as good as us. Yes they have spent money but does not mean they will be any good, I reckon West Ham will struggle tbh
  16. He's unique Joey like, shorts as high as possible
  17. Maybe they were. Imagine what Falcao and co could do to us! Yeah pretty glad we avoided them in waffa now
  18. Funny as fuck this, why could they not be this bad against us
  19. Not sure its weaker overall, just up front with backups. Big chance for vuckic, sammy, Campbell potentially
  20. How close is he to first team action? Going to St mirren isn't he
  21. Tav from the left had a lot of forward running n looked good on ball, not sure about his defensive discipline though as he seemed to just bomb on, looks very good for future though
  22. I want us to play the best teams make it more interesting and help us raise our game, rather that than some of the shit villa etc played in groups. Have they changed format this year to 4 teams a group - wasn't it 5 or 6 n never played all home/away previously ?
