    Alan Pardew

We've only played two games. So after a long break you don't think they should be at least fit and interested for the start of the season? because they haven't looked it to me. Cabaye has looked totally off the pace, and his passing has been sloppy and Cisse just looks like he's tredding water atm. I just think it's a bit ridiculous saying stuff like "Tiote's looked miles away" when he's played one game, which we won. We've had better starts than most of the teams around us. Why is it ridiculous to point out that what should be our most influential players looked off the boil? It's the start of the season ffs, they should be raring to go, not looking like they are still on their holidays. We won against Spurs but looked 2nd best for most of it. And against Chelsea we were asleep the 1st half and got punished. We will see against Villa if they pick the pace up. We have played 2 of last seasons top 6 and won one, don't think that is bad. Cabaye barely played preseason, cisse/ba/tiote just finished ramadan. We will be fine once cisse fires in his first goal which I think will be tomorrow.
  4. I know but they had further to jump. To improve us we needed Debuchy and a backup forward, we got neither which is frustrating but we are still better off than most teams. I think Spurs/Chelsea will move away from us but Arsenal will end up out of CL this year. I think Liverpool are not much stronger either. The other teams while improving do not have the quality we have throughout the team
  5. Are they further ahead than us though? - they had some right dross and need quite a few players. We already had Ba, Cisse, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Krul, Colo, Taylor, Jonas, Santon etc. Even looking at their squads now they are not as good as us. Yes they have spent money but does not mean they will be any good, I reckon West Ham will struggle tbh
  6. He's unique Joey like, shorts as high as possible
  7. Maybe they were. Imagine what Falcao and co could do to us! Yeah pretty glad we avoided them in waffa now
  8. Funny as fuck this, why could they not be this bad against us
  9. Not sure its weaker overall, just up front with backups. Big chance for vuckic, sammy, Campbell potentially
  10. How close is he to first team action? Going to St mirren isn't he
  11. Tav from the left had a lot of forward running n looked good on ball, not sure about his defensive discipline though as he seemed to just bomb on, looks very good for future though
  12. I want us to play the best teams make it more interesting and help us raise our game, rather that than some of the shit villa etc played in groups. Have they changed format this year to 4 teams a group - wasn't it 5 or 6 n never played all home/away previously ?
  13. Hopefully pardew realises 4-4-2 is not working, we look more fluid in 4-3-3 and create more chances
  14. We need to lift our game, need a cisse goal and cabaye to step up the pace. Would like tiote back
  15. He looked up for it and terrorised the full back, much better when ball played in front of him. Needs to learn to cross earlier instead of hitting byline all the time. We need that variation
  16. Great price for him. That's 2 we've missed out on in Clyne and Van der Wiel, both of whom I reckon we could have convinced to come. Honestly no idea why we didn't go for clyne, how much was he 5 mill ? Bargain for him I think. Thought Zaha would leave Palace and if 4 mill is true for reading, thats another bargain Think Clyne was free? Not sure. Either way it's a bit of a joke. If so then fuck me what were we playing at, young, English and decent
  17. Great price for him. That's 2 we've missed out on in Clyne and Van der Wiel, both of whom I reckon we could have convinced to come. 18. Makes you wonder what we have been doing all summer that we still have no right back in. Wonder if the only money we had went on Anita, strange we offered for Carroll and debuchy yet I'm sure Pardew told Ryder that the funds were not there, don't think he will be happy. I will still be happy if we keep everyone n look at youngsters this season, big risk but not as bad as previous years as first 11 is quality
  19. Thought he looked quality, great close control, technique, passing and link up. Needs game time to get up to speed, will be class when he does
  20. Who cares...how many right-footers use the left regularly? James Perch? Aye but Perchinho is different gravy
  21. This will be an awful awful day as usual, nothing changes, we never do anything good on deadline day, just close it now so that we keep tiote and cabaye
  22. Not really Rodgers will probably play Sterling there or another attacker while Downing sits at Left Back (please make this happen when Ben Arfa plays against them)
  23. I honestly don't understand why Clubs do business this late in Transfer window, it all seems a rush at last minute but they have had 3 months since end of last season to sort out what they want and put deals in place. As its not the Manager that organised the finances etc, how come clubs are not putting deals in place sooner that transfer window, only have to register on 1st July. I know there is a knock on effect and players could be injured / you could lose a player or two, but surely could be sorted by return to training. I am a big fan of either doing away with transfer window or finishing beginning of August before season starts, Maybe start transfer window end of May
