  1. We probably do scout those players but I think we look to bring in players that can immediately improve us or are close to exploding. We have a higher bar than some of those teams because of our current 11

Even if we lose Isak we will still have a team 10x their afcon 11 so they really have nothing to mock. We will still have a top midfield, Gordon, Elanga and new striker. They have untried players in this league and a bunch of trash from the championship.
  3. We need sustained top 4 for a few seasons and a better transfer strategy all while being unable to clip the wings of those teams that can do what they want
  4. We just don't yet have the pull of those teams and are feeding from the same pool to try and better ourselves in with PSR nonsense. Other clubs below us would face the same but do seem to be pulling in relatively unknown players and we need to get smarter at that.
  5. Imagine how exciting it will be when Isak signs new contract late August and declared as like a new signing ( flashbacks to Ashley days)
  6. He looks the perfect replacement and 4 years younger than Isak, goal record decent for his age. Saw some stats comparison with Isak and he's a bit behind but not by much and given his age, physical side and powerful shots could see Eddie improving him to same level.
  7. Well that's a lie, we don't work on multiple deals.
  8. He only gets one career tbf, he probably wants to make the most of it and we are hamstrung by PSR. He will likely win multiple titles and a champions league in next few years with them. Harsh reality of our position and have to hope we reinvest wisely
  9. If his heads turned I would just get as much as we can and try to not be incompetent for the rest of the window.
  10. Data nerd speech bored me after 2 minutes, Hope he's decent but more interested in actually signing players soon.
  11. Brighton, Spurs, West Ham, Wolves and Leeds all linked with him, no idea if he's any good
  12. It was Neil Lennon, doesn't count
  13. If anything it's proof we will spend serious money, we will be ok and keeping Isak is key as long as we can strengthen other parts of team/ squad. Just hope our 3rd striker choice is mint as well, whoever the fuck that could be. It's DCL isn't it 😄
  14. The Magpies plan to submit an improved written offer today. Newcastle's medical is already being prepared, and @hekitike9 is expected to join #NUFC this week.
  15. We have to take a risk and maybe club are thinking of we go big and build a strong team/squad options we can focus on younger up and coming next few windows plus have a lot of value in the club. Maybe after this window more cordero, Minteh types and developing academy/u21 players. If we have a shit season then as said we have valuable players to dig ourselves out of it.
  16. Buying big from a position of strength to try and stay in that top 4 and compete in Europe and also insurance if lose other players. Hope we spend another 100 million at least
  17. Haven't Man City and Man U played in same comp as clubs owned by their owners though, seems to think Girona/City and also Man U and Nice? While im not a fan of Parish I think it's shocking not letting them compete when they earned it.
  18. Keeper, centre half, midfielder and striker next please. Out of that I think Keeper, Centre Half and striker are priority as need cover for Isak and a younger defender next to Botman

    João Pedro

Just go spend 200m and worry about the psr next season. Getting Trafford, Elanga, Pedro and a defender sets us up for a few seasons and should allow us to then build underneath the squad with upcoming players/academy and look to strengthen with 1 or 2 each year. Would have a young first 11 overall and potential for profit on quite a few if needed to next few years

I predict the Nissan overtime to start in September when they are rock bottom and been hammered a few times. They may sign a few good players but untried at this level and they still have a load of shit unless they replace 8 or 9

Why's Livramento not with the squad, hes miles ahead of that Skelly and Walker
  23. Popes not ideal for kicking but his shot stopping, ability from corners etc is right up there. Other priorities for me in right wing, defence and maybe cover for our midfield 3 and up front. I could see why they would go for Calvert-lewin for a few seasons, he's played more than Wilson this year and scored more albeit only 3 goals but good in the air so offers something. If we also had Mbuemo with Gordon/Barnes other side still goals there.
  24. We need players that can change direction at speed and technical ability, showed up badly with Murphy, Gordon and Barnes today. They don't cause enough havoc and also movement is shit, a player that seeks out the space and then has the skill to use it would be good. Today and in recent games there's not enough up there
