My mate (Spurs fan ) watched the game today and even commented that he'd be suprised if Enrique stayed as he looked a cut above everyone else on the pitch.
-
He started dodgy, first 20 minutes or so, but he was much better today than last week. As much as I don't like to see it from centre backs, he did a lovely bit of skill to flick the ball round the opposition player and walk away with the ball at one stage.
-
Does Ameobi ever miss penalties by the way... I actually never for a second thought he was gonna miss.
-
Yeah but when the ball did get out to Barton he looked like Christiano Ronaldo with his little flicks... I'm far to excitable after winning one game!

Quality goal. My old man was out in the garden leading up to it, I was shouting "Dad, dad, we're killing these, dad you have to come watch.... GOOOOOALL!!!!!!"

5th of the way there

Our delivery today was spot on at times. Unfortunalely our only recognisable winger was the only one that couldn't deliver for toffee.
-
We were fucking class leading up to our second goal. Been a long time since I've said that.

58 a piece!

It wasn't Lawrenson it was the other guy, to which Lawrenson followed up with a cracker like "That's just Krul".
-
Nope, i did hear one of them say 'and this is why he's so highly thought of by the Newcastle fans' when making a spectacular save. Commentators contradicting themselves?? Well I never.
-
Did anyone notice the commentator the other day say that half the Newcastle fans at game had probably never heard of Krul before....
-
Probably because of yesterday's training ground incident during which he allegedly walked off, take it you haven't heard about it Nope, didn't know about that, barely been online since work yesterday. Same old same old then...
-
Probably not, I just found it strange that Barton didn't start.

Well, my thoughts for today: Colocinni was awful, looked really nervy on the ball, seemed to dwell on things and just generally cause unnecessary shit at the back. I think our whole defence other than Steven Taylor was guilty of this. I was very impressed with Smith, I thought he put in a great shift, won so many tackles and actually led by example, if he can carry on like this, he might actually turn out to be alright for us. Nolan offered absolutely fuck all, slow as hell, seems to be oblivious to the fact that people are closing him down at times. Barton did alright when he came on. I'm surprised he didn't start, perhaps Shearer is having some input? I've always been a fan of Jonas', he usually works hard, and runs at defenders, but I can't defend his delivery anymore. His crossing is absolutely shocking, 0 end product. He faded as the game went on as well. Carroll did well, won a lot of headers and shouldn't have been the one to come off for Barton, it should have been either Ameobi (who was his usual self), or Nolan. Krul looks like a very good shot stopper, and very eager to make a claim for the ball, almost to a fault, but I was more impressed with him than Harper. I'm pretty certain Harper wouldn't have got down to that first save Krul made. Performance wise as a team, I thought our goal was a very well worked goal and we showed decent signs of ball retention, but we caused unnecessary trouble for ourselves, as we always do. Over the 90 I thought we were slightly the better, but a draw is a fair result. This game had 1-1 written all over it IMO anyway.

Chopra again.

Well thats my 3 favourite players gone.

Proof that supporting Newcastle sends you insane.
-
I am actually looking forward to watching us play rather than worrying about all the other shit.
-
Where would freddy find the other 80 million tho. He probably wouldn't worry about that, he has a year before he needs to start thinking about that sort of thing....
-
Er... I don't think it does, I think it says that Ashley is desperate to get £100m, so to attract more interest he will offer the club for £20m now and £80m in a year.
-
Hull?? Christ.
-
If this is a goer, some form of announcement tomorrow would probably do the (committed) players a world of good ahead of our first game.
-
Liverpool paying £20 million for Aquillani.

This has gotta be bullshit.
