  1. Lenny

    Milner for England

Lennon would definitely be my first choice for right wing.
  2. The thing with Ashley is that he holds his hands up and admits to making mistakes, but then makes the same mistakes again and again. How many times can you keep saying "fair enough it was my fault" before it becomes unacceptable?
  3. that apathy is over 40,000 turning up for home games. as someone previously said all have had a massive negative impact on the club though it's maybe worth looking at the positions they took over in and allardyce deserves as much a mention as gullit. Ok that may be a bit of a generalisation, but there is a fair amount of apathy. Don't get me wrong, when we are winning and scoring I get just as into it as I always do, but when things go wrong, I just tend to find myself going numb to the situation and not reacting, and I get the impression a lot of people are that way. Maybe it's just me being older or whatever but I used to be devastated when things went wrong for us, nowadays I just tend to switch off and let it all out when things go well.
  4. All of them had a massive negative impact on the club, but I think that Ashley has had the biggest negative impact by quite some distance, and I don't think I'm just saying it because it's current. The fact is, Ashley has made the wrong decision pretty much every single time when there is a decision to make, and it's resulted in us getting relegated. You also only have to look at the apathy that has been instilled in a "football community" to see the impact he's had.
  5. 21/30 25-30 missed gillespie, watson, n'zgobia, ketsbaia and carl cort 24, fucking hell I missed Martins and Asprilla Also missed Fox, Elliot, Jenas and Glass
  6. I got 84 but I had a user come in for some help about 5 minutes before my time run out. I forgot bloody Hasselbaink. It's quite worrying that Ameobi was probably the 5th or 6th name I typed in.
  7. I thought he was utter shite last night, and was shocked when Carroll went off (although I just read on NUFC that he was ill). For such a big bloke he just looks afraid to use his weight. Just didn't look like he wanted to push himself for the majority of the game.
  8. I personally think Smith has been our best player this season.
  9. Fuck me, I leave my PC to have a rant at the old man about how shit we are, come back and we've scored!
  10. Yeah, I'm sure they were "injured".
  11. I think it's pretty funny. I don't really give 2 shits about the premiership this year, but that game needed a winner. And I can't stand City.
  12. Apparently because of the substitution in added time.
  13. That's the most infuriating thing, it was an unncessesary loss.
  14. So what do we reckon Hughtons post match speech will be? "As I've said, I know I'm not a manager, I'm just getting on with things until I'm told otherwise...."
  15. 3rd A draw will have us top of the pops. Yeah, a 7-7 draw according to SSN.
  16. To be fair I kinda agree with this, he did stand around a fair bit when he came on. Benefit of the doubt though, it must be hard at 17 making your debut in front of 38,000 people, especially when another youngster has just put in a really good shift like that. I really do hope the hype around him is justified.
  17. It's not particularly about whether he's right or not really is it? Regardless, it makes him look like a petulant little shit that doesn't care about team spirit. Hardly a professional attitude, and I can't see that manager thinking "you know what, he's right!" and play him. He's been there what, a month, and he's whining about not playing. At least give it a go for a while, and perhaps then, if he feels like he's been treated unfairly, say something.... to the manager. Edit: Oh and at the speed thing...
