He probably won't be. Hopefully, I'm fairly placid about most things but he's done nothing to prove he's good enough to play for them. I think someone mentioned above but you can guarentee his attitude will be different and he'll be fit every game.

That cunt doesn't deserve to be anywhere near that team.

Games moved for TV - latest is Nottingham Forest (a)

Of course this does mean there's a distinct possibility we'll get our pants pulled down on free, live TV. -
Like the Argentinian team? Isn't he just as frustrating for them? He plays most games so must be doing something right. He's even managed to score for them recently. He still doesn't look a fucking fantastic footballer though. It's a shame, as if he had any end product at all he could well be. That maybe a bit of an overstatement, but IMO he's quite clearly performed way below what he can do. We've hardly provided him with an environment to shine in.

And there was me thinking I wouldn't get to see us much this season. Good stuff. -
I do agree that we probably would need a pacey player alongside him, but as far as big forward types go, he's fairly mobile. He certainly puts himself about.

He managed to bully Hangeland in 10 minutes on the pitch. Was thinking exactly the same and he's hardly a small, technical centre half.

This is better than waking up to no news I guess. I just want it over with...

I notice that "In the next few weeks" is beginning to appear in the articles now in relation to the sale.... The goal posts are just moving everytime we get close to the proposed or potential resolution time.

Not sure if this has been posted: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_5402175,00.html Denmark international Peter Lovenkrands has admitted he would welcome a move to Sunderland. The former Newcastle winger, whose contract with the Magpies expired at the end of last season, has cited his desire to remain settled in the North East of England as a factor for his interest in the move. His time at St.James' Park was short-lived as the club will not renew his six-month deal which he signed in January following the club's slide into the Championship. However, the former Rangers player has no shortage of admirers and the prospect of joining their near city rivals Sunderland is an appealing one. "Sunderland is certainly an interesting club," Lovenkrands told BT. "The city is near Newcastle where we have settled fine and it would be attractive to stay in northern England. The 29-year-old will not restrict his options to just the Premier League and the North, although he stressed that it would be his preferred option. He added: "I would not mind to continue to lay in England and particularly in the Premier League."

I get the feeling Butt won't be going anywhere and he'll be made captain. Hope not though.

I always thought it was a bit weird having a black, or white change kit when your home shirt is black and white. It was still lush though. That was a RAPID response, you've quoted me pre-correcting myself slightly!

I really can fully understand the dislike for this kit, but I can't help but like it. I will probably buy it

The 06-07 3rd kit for me. I bloody lost mine as well :-[ http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Newcastle_United/images/newcastle_united_2006-2007-third.gif

I can understand if it's not your cup of tea but i wouldnt say it looks cheap and nasty. I looks the same as the home shirt just different colour to me. I like the fit of the home shirt.
-
Erm, I like it. I shouldn't, but I do.
-
KD, why do you want to see the back of Keane so much?
-
I'd be very surprised if we've shown interest in anyone.
-
I may have missed something but from the quotes I've read I can't see anything where Torres says Liverpool should sign him. Headlinetastic journalism? Yep, there doesnt seem to be any indication Torres has said Liverpool should sign him.
-
I can't see Keegan coming back.
-
Didn't realise that was how it worked tbh.

I see where you're coming from but if the new owners were to come in and give him a 4 year contract it would imply to me that they are looking for stability, something we desperately need.
