  1. Joselu just basically said he was starting tonight on Twitter "Very excited to play my first match at St James' Park next to the fans! Let's go guys" Wonder what our attendance will be tonight... About 35k??
  2. It's one of those myths people want to believe so they will, the royal mail lose everything, the trains are always late, etc etc. Royal Mail? You'll be quoting British Rail next..... haha. Edit, I think you are right, it is still Royal mail even after the privatization... my mistake there! :-)
  3. All the Asians are only interested in Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea etc so may as well just send those cunts over for their 39th game and we can stay at home playing 46 games in the Champo!
  4. If that is - or ever becomes - real can you imagine the uproar? No matter whether you are the allocated home or away team there are a load of season ticket holders who would not be able to see that specific game. Who pays for that? Sounds like it could never be a starter in my opinion.... Exhibition matches maybe but, competitive league games, no way!
  5. Increasingly it seems to be the flavor of the day for fans of other clubs and TV pundits alike to happily quote that "Newcastle" (whatever that means) and the fans of the club have a belief that they deserve to be riding high with the top six and winning trophies.... Reading a load of quotes from the currently buoyant Huddersfield supporters stating that we were almost as bad as Crystal Palace and how we need to evaluate our place in English football (or words to that extent) makes you realize that outside of this forum where most people are very grounded and realistic of where we are that this crazy perception of Newcastle fans seems to be running along as strongly as ever. I am really tired of having to explain to supporters of other clubs that I come across on my travels that we are not like that, at least not supporters that go to the games and understand anything about football. It is a common thread with managers who have been here and failed that they could not live up to OUR expectations - Souness is an obvious candidate for this type of tripe! What do we have to do to stop this pathetic false image that people are given by the media and make everyone realize that we are very realistic about the type of club that we are while at the same time just reminding them that we do get amazing crowds every week and have tremendous support that actually does deserve better? When you have the likes of Hudderfield outplay us and then their fans start to take the piss is galling. This whole euphoria of promotion and last season has already evaporated and the grim reality of Mike Ashley being our owner has landed back with me. Looking at Rafa and his body language it is clear that he really feels let down, he doesn't need this... the only reason he is still here (maybe) is that he feels he can identify with the fans and that he feels valued, at least by us! If this window closes without some significant incoming players I cannot see him hanging around much longer, he has a reputation of his own to maintain. I didn't really know where to put this slightly wining post but, here was as good as anywhere as Hudderfield fans are currently lording above us.
  6. My "membership pack" was supposed to have shipped 31st July and I was to allow for 7 days for delivery to my UK address. Still no sign of it! Has anyone received anything yet and can confirm what this special 125 years celebration gift is??

Preseason for the Premier League is around 3rd July I think, as the "Champo" starts a week earlier then I would guess preseason starts towards the end of this month! Only guessing though....
  10. Sure Dummett said something like "you would receive the ball in training and immediately feel the wind change... you knew Tiote was coming for you" RIP the destroyer. What a great quote "feel the wind change because you knew Tiote was coming for you!"
  11. This man was made from titanium, he was indestructible.... A heart attack at 30 years old is horrible for anyone. His goal against Arsenal remains one of the highlights of my football watching life! Shaking and shocked here, RIP.
  12. Why should a university student be in the family area? Even more concerning is why a pepper appears to have it's own ST. That's terrible. Pimento has own season ticket shocker! In the family area no less!
  13. There is an old fella sitting in the row ahead of me in the East Stand that travels from York every home game. His wife does a spot of shopping in town while he comes to the match. He makes most evening games - even last season when we played on practically every day of the week for TV purposes!
  14. Fixture list is released in 15 days and the season starts in 74 days! This is not long for them to have everything arranged and new cards sent out, due to no longer being associated with Wonga....
  15. I am going to contact the Box Office today to ask for information, they are generally out before the last game of the season!
  16. Has anyone not on any sort of direct debit scheme received a renewal so far?

That was going to be my point. They over value a player to stop teams from coming in for them.... following season the same player is poor and suddenly the value falls to 5 or 6 Mil.
  18. In previous seasons the renewal forms have been sent out on the same weekend as the final game of the season. I fully expected to receive mine this week.... Clearly not done though. No doubt they will be on their way quite soon though.
  19. Yes. Depends if you're a mackem or not. Understood. Newcastle > Sunderland
  20. Can I just check? Is it Fiddling taxes and your supporters being embarrassed > fiddling children and your supporters defending it. meaning that our misdemeanor is of greater significance than their or should it be Fiddling taxes and your supporters being embarrassed < fiddling children and your supporters defending it. meaning less great or not as bad? Just seeking a clarification for my own sanity....
  21. It needs resetting because half of us, me included, decided that 1 was the best and 5 was the worst! A correct outcome of this poll is critical given that it has all turned to dogshit today! (almost / possibly)
  22. They've also got a separate thread where they're trying to come up with a song about it. christ Seen one of Facebook that is quite funny.. "what's that coming over the hill is it a tax man, is it a tax man?" Comic genius!
  23. Wait, ashley let charnley buy a laptop for business use from the club's account? SHOCKED. Yes it cost 5Million Quid!
