  1. I was pretty annoyed by that fact (the lack of any analysis of that dangerous tackle on Yedlin) but, also MotD didn't even take a second look at that that penalty claim on the tackle on Atsu.

I would love to get a massage during a game! Two of my most favourite things at the same time!

They really love the idea of a consortium don't they? A consortium of massive lads fans!
  4. Who's your source, who said he must be selling, presume you are referring to Ashley? Very interesting content there but, how can you be sure that your source is genuine and not just some wannabe ITK?
  5. I have just had my Sky Q installed today and will look forward to watching this match in pristine 4K resolution.
  6. Unbelievable this! It is only ever Newcastle that is the club that faces these charges retrospectively.... I know that Mitrovic is guilty of it but, the referee dealt with it in the match, no space for dealing with it a second time..... We must be hated at the FA. In other news Mitrovic (and Shelvey) are thick cunts that do not deserve our support!
  7. Have you seen him play? He has skills like nothing I have seen before, he is young so he could be a very valuable player in the future. We should hang onto him for now....
  8. Didn't say find a replacement, it only said line up a replacement..... that is a worrying quote!
  9. Seriously, anyone at the match or who watched this on TV saw the referee talk to Mitro and the West Ham players about it. The incident was seen by the ref and not determined to be a foul. That is irrespective of whether it was a foul or not. If the ref saw it and took no action then the FA taking matters into their own hands sets a very difficult precident that would mean they are now prepared to re-referee games. We have a number of injustices that happened against us, namely that big nosed cunt Harry Kane for one!! Would that be refereed again - no, of course not! I know it is "only Newcastle" and we are not that significant but, the FA taking such a step opens up a minefield and undermines their referees decisions.
  10. The ref definitely saw it because he spoke to the player and West Ham players afterwards. Seemed to be indicating that he thought it was accidental and a shoulder collision. It is highly unlikely that the FA will effectively re-referee the game to change the decision given at the time, if they do that opens up a huge ball of contention for every wrong decision to be looked at and judged afterwards. Instead the likelihood will be that Mitro will remain on the "watch list" for all referees and get the harshest of judgments for anything in the future on the assumption that he has done something wrong - whether he did or he didn't. Judged by reputation rather than action.....
  11. Pardew compared Tiote to Essien, just for giggles like. Colback. Pirlo. Missed out the word ginger,,,,, that makes all the difference!
  12. Fee for Tagliafico is only supposed to be around 3mil though.
  13. It will be a huge mistake if we let El-Mhanni leave. This kid has so much skill it is sickening!
  14. Left back - Nicolas Tagliafico apparently set to join today / tomorrow. Argentine. Sorry if already mentioned.
  15. I know the queues for Cup matches are always bad but they were a joke on Wednesday so maybe this started then! 2-0 win They had stewards outside the turn styles on Wednesday night, it is always chaos when they put people with no idea what they are doing outside of the ground, couple that with a ton a families and people who are not regular match goers then you get the mess that was Wednesday night. Local news on BBC had a similar story this morning about roads being closed for 90 mins before kick off and bag searches.... I am all about safety and agree that Strawberry Place and surrounding roads should be closed before and especially after the match but, this is taking it to extremes... plus the fact that they just stick transit vans across the road to close it creates its own people flow problems. The East Stand is always chaos to get in and out of but, people who go and sit in the East Stand know where the queues usually go and it kind of works. The stewards they employed for Wednesday had queues going across the pathways and in all directions meaning that people couldn't easily get through or in most cases how to even join a queue. Aside from closing the roads the club and council need to leave everything else along, it was fine for the last season (and the ones before) so why try to get involved?
  16. I saw one positive sign with Darlow over Elliott last night. His kicking is immeasurably better than Elliott. Shot stopping and positional play puts them about level, in my opinion.

    Rolando Aarons

Yup definitely made a case for himself to be more included in the first team. One criticism was that he didn't hold his position, he was drawn inside and on occasion to the opposite side of the pitch. However, playing with Gamez behind him as he did for the first half at least has to be difficult. Gamez was awful at left back, when he switched to right back following the introduction of Lazaar into left back he looked slightly better.
  18. I was very surprised last night, especially in the second half. When he swapped over with Diame so that Diame played the holding midfield role and Saivet moved into the No 10 position quite a bit started to click for us. The question has been asked already on this thread about how previous (and current) management of NUFC have played Colback ahead of Saivet is beyond me. He is not amazing but, he is certainly not rubbish! If we didn't sell him this summer I would not be devastated to see him play again.
  19. Joselu just basically said he was starting tonight on Twitter "Very excited to play my first match at St James' Park next to the fans! Let's go guys" Wonder what our attendance will be tonight... About 35k??
  20. It's one of those myths people want to believe so they will, the royal mail lose everything, the trains are always late, etc etc. Royal Mail? You'll be quoting British Rail next..... haha. Edit, I think you are right, it is still Royal mail even after the privatization... my mistake there! :-)
  21. All the Asians are only interested in Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea etc so may as well just send those cunts over for their 39th game and we can stay at home playing 46 games in the Champo!
  22. If that is - or ever becomes - real can you imagine the uproar? No matter whether you are the allocated home or away team there are a load of season ticket holders who would not be able to see that specific game. Who pays for that? Sounds like it could never be a starter in my opinion.... Exhibition matches maybe but, competitive league games, no way!
  23. Increasingly it seems to be the flavor of the day for fans of other clubs and TV pundits alike to happily quote that "Newcastle" (whatever that means) and the fans of the club have a belief that they deserve to be riding high with the top six and winning trophies.... Reading a load of quotes from the currently buoyant Huddersfield supporters stating that we were almost as bad as Crystal Palace and how we need to evaluate our place in English football (or words to that extent) makes you realize that outside of this forum where most people are very grounded and realistic of where we are that this crazy perception of Newcastle fans seems to be running along as strongly as ever. I am really tired of having to explain to supporters of other clubs that I come across on my travels that we are not like that, at least not supporters that go to the games and understand anything about football. It is a common thread with managers who have been here and failed that they could not live up to OUR expectations - Souness is an obvious candidate for this type of tripe! What do we have to do to stop this pathetic false image that people are given by the media and make everyone realize that we are very realistic about the type of club that we are while at the same time just reminding them that we do get amazing crowds every week and have tremendous support that actually does deserve better? When you have the likes of Hudderfield outplay us and then their fans start to take the piss is galling. This whole euphoria of promotion and last season has already evaporated and the grim reality of Mike Ashley being our owner has landed back with me. Looking at Rafa and his body language it is clear that he really feels let down, he doesn't need this... the only reason he is still here (maybe) is that he feels he can identify with the fans and that he feels valued, at least by us! If this window closes without some significant incoming players I cannot see him hanging around much longer, he has a reputation of his own to maintain. I didn't really know where to put this slightly wining post but, here was as good as anywhere as Hudderfield fans are currently lording above us.
  24. My "membership pack" was supposed to have shipped 31st July and I was to allow for 7 days for delivery to my UK address. Still no sign of it! Has anyone received anything yet and can confirm what this special 125 years celebration gift is??
