  1. Signed for York today... That was also a joke before anyone jumps on me! Also NPW!
  2. Maybe he was planning to be at York to watch the match tonight and make his decision as to whether to join based on the performance?

    Bob Concur

Does he have an email address at the Chronicle? Anyone know it?
  4. Wonder if I can get my money back for the last few seasons of dog shite I have watched - I am sure it did not meet the minimum standard required to be classed as football....

    John Carver

What do we want him to do about it? 1) Stop playing Mike Williamson. 2) Stop playing Ryan Taylor. 3) Stop even considering to play Gouffran and Obertan. 4) Get Arbeid on the field from the start. 5) Resign 6) Take out your aggression on Mike Ashley

I have never even considered heading to the Airshow, I can see most of the planes that are bound for Sun'lun passing over my house as they fly from some local airport, if only I could remember where that airport was located and I could even pop up to that to watch them take off and land at quite close quarters. All I can remember about the airshows of the past are the Look North news headlines that say (every year) that the show was ruined by fog, that they like to call sea fret (sayfret marra) or something equally mackem!
  7. No posts in this thread for 12 months! Surprising when you consider recent events in our fragile team! He has been captaining the France U19 team over the last few days and to be honest he looks a bit of a beast! Looks ready to push into our first team, an unused sub vs Arsenal and maybe the mackems might be a bit much in terms of intensity but, surely before the end of this season...

But, come on man. How jealous will we be when Sun'lun picks up the coveted City of Culture status? Newcastle tried and failed so obviously Sunderland have a real chance.....
  9. I am sure that BT Sport will now try to make as much of the alleged spitting incident now to ensure that they can feel self gratified that they have gotten a couple of players banned! My opinion was that Evans spat in the general direction of Cisse, not necessarily at him and the moment Cisse was supposed to have spat was with his full back to the camera however, thankfully for BT Sport they will have 100 other angles to compare and send to the FA so they can re-referee the game. Could they give us the goal we should have had for the penalty we were not given while they are at it?

That is fuckin disgraceful... The referee should get a three match ban instead, clown!
  11. Google and Al Jazeera. I know it's unlikely, but I hope Sky have been outbid, and even better if it was someone like Google that beat them. Games streamed live on YouTube Streaming games is not really ideal since there is still a lot of people with rubbish Internet speeds How fast does your connection need to be to get a decent stream though? I have around 10meg and I thought that was good, I still have poor picture quality and occasional buffering while streaming a match... 10mb is usually enough, I've played online games with that and you shouldn't have much buffering. It all depends though, the buffering may come from the servers at the other end. Ah, I get you, the person who is uploading the match may have poor internet? I am trying to get fibre here but, only Virgin offer it in my area so far and there is no way I am having them come and dig up my drive to put a cable in! Edit - not to upload football streaming I need to add (wouldn't have a clue how to do that), I just want fibre because of the amount of things in my house that are connected to my router!

  13. Given there is seven packages, it would be pretty unfathomable if they were to get less than four. To be honest, I like Sky's coverage and I am pretty happy with the service. If a third or fourth broadcaster gets packages the price to watch everything will go through the roof. Consumer can't really win. The only way it can work in the favour of the consumer, or viewer, is to have a pay per view service where you pay a reasonable amount for the games you want to see, regardless of which channel they are broadcast. It is pretty straightforward to watch every game of your chosen club live via the interweb already - sometimes the quality is not great of course. If there was a way to watch the games I wanted to watch in HD quality for a sensible price I would be interested.. Not the 10 Pound per day option you can currently get, I can have the channel for a month for that amount with the rest of my Sky package. The cost per game should be 2- 3 Quids max!!
  14. I have always said that I have never seen a professional footballer who is less comfortable with the ball than Mike Williamson.
  15. When I resigned my season ticket I also missed the official deadline. The girl in the ticket office told me that it was not officially possible to cancel outside of the allowed window but, if I cancelled my direct debit what could they do? I still attended all games until the end of the season, the card worked right up to the end....
  16. This is fact, is it? I dunno. seems that way.. Assume you have some detailed information to discredit my glib off the cuff statement? I did say - It seems ever since....
  17. Was Carroll not the turning point for Ashley, the catalyst where he thought.... hang on, I can sell players and make money!!! It seems ever since that deal was done that no offer for any player has ever been turned down.
  18. That was 35Mil though and for that sort of money I was reasonably happy - because at the time I truly believed that we would invest all that money into new players!
  19. My son was in tears when we sold Cabaye. Hardly surprising as he is only 22.... Joke, he was 8 at the time! It is hard to explain subjectively to a child that the club will do this over and again to the best players because financials are more important that having a good team, they just see the team as being everything and cannot understand that the owner would sell good players..... I tried to explain that Ashley is a cunt without actually saying those words, I think he gets it now but, like many other kids he will be gutted when Aarons goes, when Perez goes and what seems a lot more imminent when Sissoko goes in the summer....
  20. There is nothing to suggest that he will ever leave the club, and in reality why should he. He is making tons of cash here. In business no-one cares whether they are loved or hated, it is all about the $$$
  21. I am pretty sure that even if NUFC played football in front of a completely empty stadium, i.e. no fans, that Ashley would still not be losing money. As that is all he cares about it would seem that not going to the match only really effects the person who chooses not to go. I stopped going and gave up my long term season ticket in the East Stand at the end of last season and will absolutely not go back while this thief is he owner of my club. I thought I would miss it terribly but, the truth is I don't miss it at all. I do miss the people I sat near and the pre match beers in town. The football and everything that goes with that has not been a problem to me. I look at the results, when we lose I am a little glum but, I wouldn't say I am particularly bothered - at least not like I was 10+ years ago when it meant something! I guess it is fair to say that I was broken around 2 - 3 years ago by the regime, I put up with it for a couple of years and then decided that while my season ticket money made little difference to Ashley it did make a difference to me and I now have 60 quid per month extra to spend on other things.... Those of you that still go should just ask yourselves whether you go because you don't want to stop or whether you actually get any enjoyment from being at the game. I don't care whether you all carry on going or whether you stop, it doesn't effect me at all, it has to be for yourselves. I would bet that more than half of you that still go cannot say in 100% honesty that it is the game of football that keeps you going back - there will be some other circumstance or activity that you associate with going to he match that you are more addicted to... Like I said for me it was the people around me, I can keep in touch with them by phone or meet up in the pub etc. I can have a drink any time I want to, doesn't have to be Saturday afternoon. The football actually meant very little to me when I analysed everything. It will take a lot to get me going back now but, Ashley and his cronies gone will be a huge step in the right direction....
  22. He wont say anything, he already came out last week and said that he is head coach - therefore inbounds and out bounds are not part of his remit. I would bet he knew this was happening and made that statement so that he wouldn't face any personal criticism over it!!
  23. My Boss is a Stutgart fan, fuckin' hates this guy!
  24. "There he is! Seat 3F!" Business class, no chance Ashley would stump up for that!
