One of the biggest things we missed last season, particularly with Wilson being the second. Seems a perfect signing and still allow the leeway to replace Wilson in the future.

I generally assume if the club is making a signing then it’s within what they think is safe for PSR. Not much need for us to stress about it, although obviously in general we’re spending less than everyone wants.

There’s a part of me that likes the signings from abroad for lower fees, satisfies some idea that we’re smart and getting one over on other clubs. Big signings from the PL are such an unusual thing for us to do, takes a bit of belief to accept that the signing is because he’s the best player for the profile we want and not just because he’s obvious. Probably a stupid and random thought.
