  1. Is it on after the watershed? It's going to be violent and England being sodomised.
  2. Moyes talked a massive amount of shite in his post-match interview like, just heard it again. Wish managers would just concentrate on their teams performance for a change, moaning about decisions is getting old.
  3. WTF does "teams in the bottom 10" mean? Like, half the teams in the league? What a ridiculous thing to say. Also don't understand how we'll "know more about where Pardew and his team stand" after the next three games. We all know we're likely to lose them, everyone loses to those teams, it doesn't mean we'll be any worse than we are now. The whole argument is pointless - we've collected the third most points in the league, therefore we're third. Simple. Nobody expects us to finish third, so I don't get why it's even a discussion.
  4. True, Hugo Viana at a similar age as well IIRC.
  5. Think the French national team doctors want to check it out. Oh aye, suppose that's normal. I was just equating it with how HBA vanishes off every time he needs a scan or something. Probably nowt, ignore me.
  6. There seems to be secret criteria for England selection that nobody apart from the management knows about.
  7. No idea why everyone needs to go to Paris for treatment, but I guess it doesn't seem to be causing any problems so far.
  8. Looking forward to this game TBH, shame it isn't on TV. Nothing to lose, and bar a hammering we won't be disappointed.
  9. Do we know about the injuries yet? Guessing with the international break there's a decent chance Cabaye will be back.

Exactly, spot on. The last few pages of this thread have been surreal.
  11. I would have thought Liverpool would be more likely, around £30m should do it.
  12. If the "deliberate" rule was applied properly, there would be almost no penalties for handball in the Premier League, which is how it should be IMO. Most of the penalties you see given are accidental handball.
  13. Feel really sorry for Everton TBH, a while ago it looked like Moyes was ready to take them to the next level, then their finances went up the shitter and scuppered it.
  14. I'm not trying to defend Gosling at all, I don't care that it was our player or anyone else's. I say this whenever a pen is given for a ball blasted against anyone's hand. In my opinion he didn't try to handball it, he didn't do it deliberately. The ball was kicked against his hand inadvertently, therefore (in my judgement) it wasn't a pen.
  15. Does Torres not get special consideration, since he has been shite under a couple of other managers as well?
  16. Yes, if the ref judges the handball to be deliberate, which is what the rule says already. Obviously in the case of any offence the ref has to judge that the criteria in the laws has been met - it's always "if the ref deems it to be".
  17. Exactly, it has to be deliberate. Commentators and pundits are terrible at getting this wrong, the media ignore the actual law, so now fans and players have incorrect expectations. Well it'd help if the referees start applying the rules consistently, but then again that barely happens with any area of the law. True, but referees only have to be consistent in their own views, not with those of other refs really. So much is subjective, one ref might view and incident differently to another. That said, the ball was blasted against Gosling's hand today and it was never a deliberate handball.

  19. It's a pen 10 times out of 10. Stonewaller. apparently not If the ref actually sees it that is. Sorry, that was me posting when my brother was logged in. I honestly don't think it was a penalty. Surely there has to be intent? Gosling was on the ground in the ball is blasted off his arm. It's the definition of ball to hand.
  20. Great result considering the effort we put in against Stoke as well. Great to have an international break, never thought I'd say that.
  21. one of Newcastle East or West End maybe? Well they shouldn't put Newcastle United, founded 1881 on the shirt. Seems like a massive cock-up to me. Indeed. That is kind of weird. Thought the same thing, seems bonkers to release a celebratory range like that based on the date a predecessor club was founded.
  22. We're not afraid of a massive breakdown IMO, we're just rewarding the players who have played well, creating performance improvements through competition and looking after the morale. Any individual player has to come second to that. Anyway, the cream will rise to the top as long as they keep working hard. The problems only occur when they spit the dummy out.
