  1. Depends what you mean by "given a chance". Dropping players who are playing really well to accomodate someone who has been promised first team football isn't the kind of management I want at my club. He'll get his chance though, he's probably significantly better than Simpson and Taylor. But it should be when needed, not for the sake of keeping him happy.
  2. That's incredibly harsh. Ashley presided over the signing of the players and actively decided to go and get Pardew. He has to take the credit for how it has worked out.
  3. Nice to hear that from Sir John TBH, I wonder if Freddy Shepherd would be as full of praise?
  4. No surprise Raylor is good at penalties, his technique is superb.
  5. but cast your mind back to Monday night where very few expected us to get something at all, never mind a win and we did you fucking camp pretendy-Irish cunt. You're so right. I don't think Lawro even looks at who we're playing or our form, he just writes down a defeat.

Same, his level of talent is incredible, and very exciting how he carries the ball with total confidence in such tight spaces. In a funny way he reminds me a bit of Jack Wilshere with more pace and trickery, they both carry the ball straight into space or at defenders with total confidence that they can find a pass. Love watching Wilshere for that reason, even though he's a knob.
  7. POTW Well said. Totally agree, but I can understand why people are excited to see these players get a chance. I am a bit too, even though I'm one of Obertan's biggest fans on here.
  8. Out through "illness" according to BBC.

That video is insane, incredible passing. Is Benzema available BTW?

Totally disagree with that, IMO you should always make the best team out of whatever parts you need to use. Our greatest strength this season is making a team that is more than the sum of its parts. That said, we won't know about Ba and HBA until we try it, so we should definitely give it a go.
  12. Without Obertan you might be right. Could hoy Marveaux on the left as well, could work.

Spot on. Yeah, the deep positions that Ba likes to take up are my main worry about pairing him with HBA. In fact, Best would probably be a better partner, but Ba has made himself undroppable. Interesting dilemma for the Silver Fox.

Don't necessarily have to play him against the Manchesters side if he has a good game against Everton, but I hope to see Ben Arfa getting at least a half in the three-four coming games. I just think that our best chance of hurting Man Utd and particularly Man City is a flash of brilliance from Ben Arfa. As far as I'm concerned we've got nothing to lose in those games, so give HBA a chance to go crazy.

Agree he has to play central ideally. With Obertan out I would just start Marveaux and bring HBA into it in the second half. Then start him off Ba against both the Manchester teams.
  16. He could have been sent off, but I think he would have been unlucky. He could also have missed Whelan and been hurt himself by the Stoke player's lunge, which was almost the same. He was trying to be committed and battle for the cause, it was a bit reckless but if it wasn't Perch we would probably have stopped talking about it days ago.

Slightly disagree with you about Best pip, I think he's been pretty good all season and unlucky to be subbed at times when Ba remained on. His hold up and aerial play has impressed me a lot too. That said, I know HBA's talent is miles ahead of anyone else we've got.
  18. Cracker, where was he playing in that game, CM?

I don't think many (if any) people are writing off Ben Arfa though.
  20. I don't know why clubs bother signing him. He's fucking shite, doesn't score goals and is also a massive cockend. I've no sympathy for Donny and their weird relationship with Willy McKay to be honest. Can't stand the guy and he hope he fails big time.
  21. I'm excited about seeing more of Marveaux, but the reason for it is a real shame.
  22. Fucking James Milner, Fucking Gareth Barry and fucking Scott Parker. Yawn.
