Fuck off man, I'm not "defending" anyone or anything, I'm just giving my opinion on how things have gone just like you are. Grow up. ouch, throwing your toys out the pram cos the people you spent all summer defending proved you wrong? at least be honest. you spend 90% of your time on here making excuses for ashley, defending the club's actions, and arguing with people who criticise him. mug. Try reading some more of my posts, instead of just ignoring the bits that question Ashley. Anyway, stupid to discuss this now when nobody can think straight.

The OP is appalling, I think that's the basic idea.

Basing your expectations of future injuries on past injuries to completely different players seems mental to me. Of course we will have injuries, but no more than any team should expect in an average season.
-
Agree, no idea why we weren't after him (if we weren't).

We've acquired a good striker, we just needed another. Exactly, and the second striker only became our biggest priority after we secured a good fullback as well. Don't get me wrong, I wanted another striker, but it had to be one whose quality was way above the ones we've got. That always made it harder to achieve, especially under the frugal spending limits we've set ourselves.

For any club to get relegated, come back up and finish in European spots the following season is basically unheard of. Think this squad can finish upper mid table if Ben Arfa plays a decent amount of games, and that would be a good result.
-
And how does that help in any way shape or form? Shall I post the quotes from Enrique, Barton, Nolan etc as well? They've had a golden opportunity to put this club back on the map this summer, all we needed was a bit of investment, and we could have really had a push for Europe this season. Yet again, they've us "customers" which is all we are to Ashley, have been fucked over again. The big worry for me is how long can we keep hold of Coloccini, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Santon, Cabaye etc? They're not going to be happy for much longer playing for a club with such little ambition. Think you're overstating the case TBH. We were never likely to finish in Europe this season, it's only our second season back in the league. With a few higher-quality additions we could push for Europe next season. Keeping players like Colo is a concern as they were given contracts that might be beyond the current budget, but I don't really see any reason to be worried about the ones that have signed in recent windows.

We bought Ba.
-
So only a £35m striker would have made you happy? Or is there more to it than that?
-
I'd say about a 7. Disappointing that we didn't buy a second striker, but Ba could still turn out to be good and we did get a quality fullback. Cabaye and Marveaux look very good and Obertan looks OK and is young enough to get better. Disappointing to lose Barton but he was leaving at the end of the season anyway.

Feel the same, it's gutting that we missed out on the striker but Santon could end up an immense signing, and the others look pretty good so far as well.

How our transfer window went is a different question to whether the Carroll money was invested. Which one is the poll about?

Congratulations, you live without hope and joy in your life, but you happen to correct in this instance. Well done. Far from it, though kudos for applying an absurd leap of logic. It's not my fault that you and your somewhat deluded ilk have been left looking rather foolish. Still, there's always January, no? I never thought we would sign this guy if that's what you mean, so I'm not sure how I look foolish. But I don't assume we'll fail with every bid, we've already made some very decent signings. Should have been at least one more, but most clubs probably think that.

My feeling as well, but probably wishful thinking.
-
How do you know that? It's just common sense that a player would find it more difficult to make a decision in such a short space of time. Yes, but that's not quite "he'd have chosen us any day of the week".
-
Would have preferred Bassong just about, but not if he's only available on loan. I like Ridgewell, decent player and hard worker. Sensible signing for us.
-
Hasn't Arteta been pretty shit for a year or two now? Not really, I thought he was looking class before he got that bad injury. Not sure he's what Arsenal need, but they need numbers as well.
-
Be pleased with that. Same, always liked him and we need cover at the back. Hope it's true.
-
Is Rodallega really that good? Never seen him have a great game in the Premier League, and his goalscoring record doesn't seem that great. Held back by his shit Wigan team mates?
-
Terrible signing. Why?
-
I strongly hope you're right. Don't know if he's any good like.
