I've thought about it more times than because of the game TBH.
-
I think the fact it came in a week when we'd sold Carroll and fucked up at Fulham also has to be taken into account.
-
This is the thing for me, it looked like it was going to be 10-0. I don't think I would have left, but I don't really blame people who did. Obviously in hindsight it seems stupid, but at the time the mood was depressing as anything.

IMO the grab on Barton's neck and push to the ground was enough for a red card. You can't have that sort of thing accepted in the game. -
I've never left a match early in my life, but I find it pretty hard to criticise those people who did leave. Especially after the week we'd had. They got their just desserts anyway, they missed

I love the way the play football but some of their individual players (and their manager) are annoying as fuck. -
One of the worst spells at a club I've ever witnesses, and for a Newcastle fan that's bad.

Hopefully it'll be one of the relegation candidates. -
That's probably fair enough, he looked more than decent not too long ago, he hasn't suddenly become a bad player. Pardew needs to figure out how he can get Williamson playing at the top of his game again. By not replacing him with Taylor? Well yeah, but also now he has replaced him with Taylor!

There's no doubt Pardew's mentality is positive and he goes out to win or at least make his presence felt. He seems to understand hoq fans feel about the club too. Obviously the question is why they were so shit at the start, but footballers can be weird like that.

Think you're right, the fact the linesman was right there and didn't react at all, and that no player even appealed, That twat Wilshire did he was nearly crying to the linesman, sure cesc ran off to the ref aswell. Ah, didn't see that. Ah well, it's lost to history now, the 4-4 will live forever! -
Tiote's goal is the best individual moment, our big wins were spaced out over 90 minutes! I generally agree about Villa though, it proved that we could compete and made me feel a lot better about the season. I was worried that we only looked decent last year because the championship is so weak.

Think you're right, the fact the linesman was right there and didn't react at all, and that no player even appealed, says to me that they understood it was just a result of the keeper being a bit cheeky and holding onto the ball and Nolan getting slightly carried away trying to get on with the game. Wish more incidents could be treated so sensibly TBH. -
Only drawback is that Hangeland is 30 this year (also that he won't be for sale). I think we'll be more likely to make the kind of signing Delima mentions... a younger and cheaper defender but hopefully with good potential to step up.

Samba has just signed a new contract hasn't he? Yep, the question is whether he wants to stay or whether Blackburn just want to protect his resale value. I don't think he's a realistic target TBF, unless Blackburn go down.

This is the first time in Barton's career that I actually believe he has changed. The amount of times he has failed to react to provocation this season is very impressive. He also looks much fitter and in better shape than before, suggesting he's getting his head down and working hard off the pitch as well. -
Enrique has been monumentally good IMO, his mistakes have been few and far between from what I remember.

Football in pubs: North East pubs facing foreign channel crackdown

Spot on. Same with illegal streams of games from abroad. If there was a decent quality and reasonably-priced way to watch your club's games when you can't attend, it wouldn't be so much of a problem. As with the music and film industries, the football industry just hasn't moved fast enough to supply people with what they want at a decent price. Very True. Fact is, we live in a very small world where it's easy to stream video from the other side of the planet in seconds. Sky is already on a loser with Satelite technology which will be redundant within 10-15 years as a means to broadcast on. Cable is the future with on-demand video. Interesting point on the Satellite TV, Sky have already started to experiment with internet TV TBF to them, with their website service and things like XBox Live. The problem is it's still too expensive for people who don't have Sky TV in their living rooms. -
The new deal might just be to protect his resale value TBH, contracts don't mean much if you can afford the asking price and the players wants out. Not sure how good Samba actually is mind, he looks a beasy but I haven't seen him play many full 90s.
-
I just think we need to enjoy our good players rather than constantly talking about them leaving. Maybe they will, maybe they won't, fuck knows.

On MOTD they said there was nothing wrong with his challenge. If you mean arsenal players then that'll be the day! -
If the is of the right quality that would probably be the best Newcastle defence in my lifetime. (Not that there's much competition)
