Never understood loyalty bonuses that are paid when a player leaves. Surely a 'loyalty' bonus should be a reward for staying the length of your contract?

I was really heartened by the game yesterday... I think we played a lot better than the majority of last season. We need a specialist RB and some pace in midfield, and up front, but then we knew that already. Would like to see Ranger given more minutes from now on, and also Barton start ahead of Nolan. There might be an argument for throwing in Kadar instead of Colo as well. Smith actually played pretty well I thought, I'm not normally a fan of effort over ability but he gave a lot for the team and that's exactly what we need in our current situation.

Think he could get a better club than Hull TBH.

At the moment there is now less chance of that happening, obviously if we buy a replacement who can do the business for less money then that's great, but if and when that happens I'll change my view accordingly. IMO there's only one way to see if they're ready - give them a go. We don't have any better options.
