I never understand why the PL would have voted to strangle their own product in the first place. Why not make it a global super league absolutely sloshing with money? I guess the problem is that it's a member's club rather than a company with a single brain or strategy. Maybe some clubs want to remain in the PL and be competitive without having to invest so much, so they want the overall ceiling to be kept down?
