Gordon is clearly our best winger mind, and probably our best attacking player overall. Selling Isak and then selling him the following year would not necessarily be the kind of message we want to send. Although I know a lot of us think Gordon is not all that, the football world generally rates him very highly.

I saw Thierry Henry play for NY Red Bulls and he basically strolled about while scoring a goal on demand whenever they needed one. Not sure if lazy or smart.
-
I don’t know how my offshore bot farm gets the tickets, but their hit rate is really good.
-
I think it’s more a fan term to refer to a very important player TBH. I don’t think it refers to any actual thing in management.
-
Said at the time it was a mistake to drop him when Wissa returned. But I get Howe thought he was getting guaranteed PL goals from Wissa. We’re now in the Gordon CM world because of pressing ability, so I suppose Eddie needs to decide if that kind of forward is essential to us going forward.

Cost was only slightly expensive IMO, for a proven PL scorer. Age wouldn't really be relevant if he'd delivered what we wanted for a season or two. Performance, absolutely shite.
-
Don't even suggest this on the internet.
-
Would monitor a bit longer just to be sure.

I don't think PSR is a factor in general ticket prices TBH, the different will be fairly negligible. But taking a £55 seat and selling it for £300-750 might make a dent in it.

I'm sure corporate is right but we also have hundreds for sale on reseller websites.

It's almost essential at this point to tell members if they essentially have no chance of attending the most high demand games. Even the chances of success in the ballot generally are incredibly low. I don't know if most members appreciate they might only win 0-3 ballots a year. Selling unlimited memberships without a bit of detail like this is getting into questionable territory at least.

FWIW I do think we tried to walk the line between the two last summer to some extent. People like Pedro and Ekitike definitely aren’t just athletes, they’re brilliant technically. The goalkeepers we missed out on have good distribution, especially Trafford. Even Elanga is meant to be better technically than he’s shown so far. Lots of things didn’t work out for us.
-
I still think we ultimately need a game plan where we don’t press like crazy though, as we’ve seen it’s not sustainable in a busy season unless we can really sign a high volume of the right players. Summer transfers will be very interesting.
-
Do you have a guess about what happens to these high demand games then @LFEE? Does everyone in the queue just buy 6-8 tickets each? Obviously these games always ignite the debate again because people who have secured tickets to every other game of the season seemingly have no chance. It’s bound to raise questions about the availability.

I thought he was really good last night for the most part.

Will say again, I think Elanga is meant to be more technical than Murphy. Actually probably is if he could find any kind of confidence or form.

I'm enjoying seeing the problem being worked on by players and manager TBH, it's interesting. And obvs I love technical and unusual players anyway. I've said before in theory he should link up well with wide forwards who want to score more than assist (Gordon, Barnes) but it's not easy to actually make that work in games as fast as PL games are. And where we aren't overall holding onto the ball that well. He will always give the ball away if his job is to take touches, turn and try to find forward passes. Chris Wood can pop the ball 15 yards back to where it came from, anybody can do that.

Maxi suffered from this to an extreme degree. Laid on hundreds of chances for Willock and Longstaff to fluff
-
I decided to ignore that bit

Worst game but could still have ended up with two assists as well as a couple of very key passes. One particularly brilliant piece of vision and footwork to play Murphy through (who missed). Nobody else in our team could do that.

I meant 'fan experience' more in terms of the customer experience of joining as a member and obtaining tickets for matches. What it feels like to be a member of the club who wants to go to games. Nobody is trying to decide on an individual basis who is and isn't a fan, it's more about the systems that could be put in place to tip the balance one way or another. We know the club probably won't do this, because they could already and haven't. But I think it would be a positive measure for most fans.
-
It's very strange that you can get a ticket for Brentford up to 4 or 5k in the queue but Sunderland or Barcelona is sold out at 400.
-
I didn't admit the minimal impact, I said we don't know the impact. Also if the impact is small then it shouldn't impact PSR very much? I would personally do it just because it's the right thing to do for our fans. I think this is the problem with ticketing being (presumably) purely under the business part of the club rather than anything close to fan experience. As I've said many times, there's probably not a business case for absolutely anything to do with ticketing or touting - the status quo is fine financially for the club. Same reason we have a disgraceful ticketing website and not even the ability to write a decent line of copy on an interface. But we are discussing what they should do to make the process fairer and more accessible for fans.

Very harsh on a young lad.
