  1. He IS available. I don't really care when we get him, but we should def. strike a deal sooner rather than later and just have him signed and arrive in summer window if that's the issue.
  2. People should remember how Ronaldo and Nani were the first season(s) of their BPL career, we even got proof of our own in HBA.
  3. Early days for Santon but he isnt at Enriques level defensively at all. Yeah, as I previously stated. But I think the prospect of him becoming better at defensive setups, he'll do the job far better than Jose as he doesn't seem to dribble within our own penalty area
  4. It doesn't look like we'll really miss him with the way Davide Santon made his run in the Scums match. In hindsight it really looks like Jose was only looking for an exit... unfortunately. Santon still hasn't made any retarded dribbles in or around our penalty area so I think this might be a good trade-off
  5. Our priority target needs to be a CB, not necessarily proven to BPL yet, but who can become a futuristic star, like Verthongen. For me it doesn't matter that he costs £10 mill, which is what we paid for Colo. With Raylor now doing cover for both fullbacks, I don't see the logic in doing a fullback deal unless we got money to spare or get a kind of MUST DO NOW deal and not wait till summer. Mainly because there might be several other options during the summer window that might be better suited.
  6. The really odd thing from Pardew in that statement was that Guthrie's passing was good?!?!??! Ridic... he's almost lucky every time he hits something that looks like a decent pass that the receiver actually receive imo. If he worked a little bit on it, he might be useful.
  7. Not saying they've been ignorant, as long as some of the rumours are actually matching the reality. And it usually does somewhat, I guess. WW: I'm satisfied with how things are going, not saying drop France, but we shouldn't be putting all our sticks in one bowl. altho that got a lil mixed up with getting Cisse from Germany. It might as well just be the newspapers focus on France giving us an advantange, who knows. I don't really know anything else than the papers.
  8. LOL, are people really discussing the possibility of -KEEPING- Perch? Get that nugget outta here, he can't play! Yes, Verthongen might be what they define as "expensive" but obv. well worth money due to his versatility in defence and as a DMC.
  9. We should look at Belgium youth, there's some really decent talent there. Unfortunately, it looks like Pardew and Carr is more focused about pushing the transfer potential out from France.
  10. To be fair, I think Santon was 'proven' under Mourinho, this dood nobody seem to know, besides Carr et al. But, then again, he haven't made any poor judgements yet. I'm not blaming Carr for Obertan, moar like Pardew Also, Verthongen would cost, but he's 24 y/o? Would easily get those chunks of money back if he held the level of the premiership. But if not him, what about his belgian mate Alderweireld. Should be a bit cheaper and got good ball skills just like Colo. Just like Santon? Vertonghen would be great, but if we're keeping Colo, there's no chance we'll spend huge like that. Would be well pleased with Benalouane as an option to have. Haven't seen much of Cissé tbh, but reckon he's better than Sow. A guy with a clumsy style and only one good season.

    Papiss Cissé

WELCOME TO THE NEW ERA! (or is it?)
  12. I'm not sure about the Italian CB, why should he be good enough for Castle when he doesn't play regularly for Cesena? I also spoke to a couple of Serie A fans, no one really knows of him. We need Verthongen! I'd also jump for Sow at almost any price!

    Papiss Cissé

Wasn't half the point of doing a striker transfer for someone to fill the gap when Ba was in ACN? And now, instead of Verthongen we get another african striker who's gone for ~2 months? LOL, setup! Obv. a great striker, but still... he can't be scoring at SJP when he's in ACN. I don't get the logic... nor can I seem to grasp how Fat Mike actually pulled up £10 mill for -ANYONE-
  14. Oh my... Ba's actual management team have also rubbished the comments made by the rogue agent, with a spokesman telling talkSPORT: "Armand Doorn is not Demba's agent. Alex Gontran is the only person who can speak on his behalf and Newcastle have not had an offer for him. "Demba feels good at Newcastle. He has just started something there. There is a release clause in his contract but the figure will remain confidential. "If a club wants to speak to Demba, then they must go to Newcastle first. We respect the process." Mevlüt Erdinç

Leave Erdinc, bring Rhodes! Then atleast we get a striker in-form and also a proven goalscorer, so be it in the lower divisions.
  16. Yeah and that's the big problem Tooj, as Ba came free, there is a £10 mill profit for Fat Mike. Which I don't see him declining, nor could he. I'm pretty sure he's happy with £10 mill for Ba as it's 10 000 000 more reasons than he came in for. Which makes this a sad fucken thing to bring up, shame on you 'Arry! We might be lucky that the ACN has Ba out for the whole month, which basically means that the BPL -can- have set champions in sight, but there's still the fight for CL. And unfortunately for us, I think Ba would be a great addition to the Spurs team as it stands today
  17. It's not too unrealistic to believe he does actually have a release fee, so I'm just basically waiting for someone to match it and give him an offer. Just hopefully we can persuade him to stay like Swansea did with Taylor...

    Alan Pardew

I do hope you're not serious mentioning Perch in this sense, as he is completely utter shit. I'd like to think Guthrie could continue where he left off, but the main concern with him is that he's had a hard time actually getting a successful pass. Although it seems his passing skills had increased in the last few games he played. Giving away the ball in your own half is never a good idea
  19. I think we will at least see HBA resurrecting when Tiote and Ba leaves... might still feel he has something to prove so that can't be anything else than good.
