I take it back, it seems Alex Ferguson is happy to trust his player to JFK or whoever else will be in charge at NUFC. Or he doesnt care what happens to Simpson
-
Something has actually happened, wtf. How can I get excited about signing a half decent rightback, I dont know but Im happy.

Yeah screw the toon, Man City wheeeeeeeeeeeeeyyy. I've decided to do a Lee Stewart and am now a Man City fan, man I feel sorry for all you poor bastards suffering. what the f*** are you on about ? Just saying I've decided to support Man City. no you haven't. i just thought you were attempting to make out thats what i was saying. i hope if anyone drops out its liverpool but i think it'll be spurs, citeh and everton putting pressure on arsenal. Yeah, I'd like to see liverpool drop out as well for some reason, I don't know why but I've always hated them more than anyone else other than Sunderland of course and maybe Spuds.

We were going to be stuck in this league for a long time anyway. Losing Duff and Taylor will make no difference. A club with no manager, owner or leader will fail. Fact. I'm not so sure, I reckon we would have at least made the playoffs, even with Kinnear in charge. NO-one else in this league has any real quality in their squad. West Brom are probably the strongest team in this league and there aren't many players they have that would improve us.
-
We can't afford to lose anyone now, he wasn't great in the prem for us but he'll be useful in this league, if they sell him and Taylor thats us in this league for a long long time.

Newcastle United vs. Reading Pre-match thread K.O. 5:20pm *Live on Sky*

According to the Bib Theory Ben Tozer is Starting -
Alot of the players he signed did well in the Prem. Kelly and Peacock were my point (although Peacock left for other reasons). Cole was signed when we virtually assured promotion, then he brought in Beardsley et al. I suppose this only applies to the strikers as the rest of the team stayed fairly the same after promotion - but strikers are a different breed, there's loads of them out there who bang them in in the Championship but fair miserably in the Prem. Rob Lee, Kilcline..... I could go on, be better of Getting lovenkrands for nowt,
-
He is a quality Championship player. If we are to buy someone though, which I doubt we will, shouldn't we buy players that may be able to step up to the PRem at some point instead of a 29 year old average Championshit Striker. Not when we need to get the wage bill down. Premiership quality equals at least 50k a week Which planet are you from? 50K froma prem player? Maybe us in the past, Beye wasn't even on 50k, so basically your saying Beye was not Premieship standard. Top Premiership players are worth 50k+. Ashley YOung isnt even on 50k either, infact I dont think any Villa player is so they obviously aren't Premiership standard. Take a look at Everton's wage bill. Honestly some of the things you come out with make me think you know sod all about football.

SSN: David O'Leary 'no longer in contention' for NUFC job
relámpago blanco replied to Dave's topic in Football
Hang on, you're comparing O'Leary's playing record to Mourinho's management record & concluding that O'Leary is the better manager because he accomplished more as a player? Based on that line of lunacy David Beckham is a better manager than Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough. Drugs are bad m'kay. I never said he was a better manager. I said that he's achieved more in football and is justified to have an ego on the back of his numerous achievements in the game. If someone like Glenn Roeder turns up with an ego then he can't justify it because he was a crap player and a failed manager. Same with Phil Brown to a large degree. Are you infact David O'Leary? -
Roman Bednar (WBA) pictured buying cocaine + cannabis

How did Mutu get a massive Ban for testing positive for one drug when Bednar bought 2 and alot of it. What did they think he did with it, use it for scientific experiments -
I olove these rumours, which are clearly tosh. Do they even think when they announce them.

SSN: David O'Leary 'no longer in contention' for NUFC job
relámpago blanco replied to Dave's topic in Football
Yes, and all he had to do was bankrupt them in the process. He's a chequebook manager, and when he hasn't got the cash, he's all about excuses. I'm getting bile coming up into the back of my throat just thinking about him. I'm departing this thread for good. Didn't have much money when he took you lot to 6th. Edit: Also, ONeill hasn't exactly not been spending at Villa has he? -

To be fair his best finish at Villa is the Same as Oneill's IIRC and he had way less money, I reckon he's better than O'Neill. I think O'Leary took leeds further in the Champions League than O'Neill did with Celtic. Worth thinking about -
Why don't we just sing I predict a riot by The Kaiser Chiefs, would scare the hell out of the stewards if say 10000 people sang it
-
Judging by SSN's accuracy they probably do mean us.
-
I think it'd be a good idea to sign pro-Ashley songs as the media would go mental. Problem is alot of the fans around whoever started probably don't understand this type of humour and would probably deck said person. I think cheer the lads before and during the game, then start the chants at full time. We should add some humour into our chants though to keep us entertained and show the world that whatever goes on we'll still be supporting the team.

Simon Day was funnier in The Fast Show. Controversial. It'd be hard for me to say who was 'funnier', because it was all gold. David Platt is funnier than Paul Whitehouse imo, it's just stupid, unintelligient, non-sensical tosh.
-
I reckon we'll see a few loans, 1 or 2 go out and someone akin to O'Lewary appointed and like Mowen I still think we'll go up. Look at what we had to field under Roeder, Players that can't even get in league 1 sides.

Absoulte tosh, he can't cross but if you play to his strengths, i.e. not making him cross he's useful, can beat a man and is very good at slide rule passes. He's a winger who can't put a cross in. Makes him a fairly s*** winger. People say he should play through the middle, but when he did that against Stoke he was worse than useless. He clearly has some attributes but he's added very, very little to the team and was poor against West Brom. I'm not sure he's actually any good at slide rule passes, I can only recall seeing him make one in his time at Newcastle. Maybe he shouldn't play on the wing then, in his first game against Man U under KEegan he was class, we were all going mental and then when he left and we didn't play to his strengths he started to play rubbish.
