  1. What f****** planet are you on? Well he's not a very good striker or midfielder so maybe his best position is at the back. Only time will tell.
  2. Pretty weak side tbh. I hope we dn't start with that on the 11th or I'll cry.
  3. I think Sam will reduce our injury problems but it will take time. He has had less than a month with the players you can't fix problems like this in that amount of time and you can't legislate for injurioes like bartons. Unless you tell them those stupid w*****s that blades cause metatarsal injuries. I'm sure rooney and beckham wore blades as well.
  4. My mates just told me Metro radio are saying we've bid 6m for Baines.

    Left-Back

I'd take any leftback now. He should have got J Lloyd Samuel he would have been ok for cover. Better than playing a centreback or an attacking winger (duff) there like roeder did. Anyway if we've got all this 'money' - make an 8M bid for shorey ,I know he's not worth that but its the only way we'll probably get him and we need a leftback more than anything else.
  6. Eveyone got an extra 30M from the TV deal although, I hope that is not the case and they are the new leeds.
  7. If that's the case, it should be individuals rather than the club as an entity that's in trouble. Which is probably a good thing. Doesnt matter anyway as of 18th of July Newcastle United PLC will no Longer exist.
  8. Given Geremi BababullS*** Taylor Rozehnal Solano Barton Emre Zog Owen Martins Harper Carr Ramage Allardyce Hunty Butt Pattison Clark Beardsley Carroll Ran out of available players for the 2nd team. Would still thump them though LuaLua
  9. They are always there making sure hupcaps remain attached to cars - Allegedly!
  10. Mustn't have looked very hard since the intertoto would be there. As well as the Fairs Cup, Anglo Italian cup FA CUP League Titles etc. Almost forgot the IRish tournament from a few years ago as well.
  11. I found this from june 16th in the paper is it about this. SUNDAY EXPRESS: A bungbusters fraud squad are set to make a series of shock arrests in the wake of the Quest inquiry into football corruption. .
  12. or just tell us what its not and we'll take a guess.
  13. Whelan would never allow us to sign one of their players!

  15. They have blatantly nicked the article of this site then re-hashed it. Sue them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. If only lol. Although the team looks immense, I think they are achievable targets. Except Etoo. It looks a bit narrow to me. Barton and Emre aren't going to play the flanks and Heinze isn't attacking enough to do it on his own. Why play with wingers when you have Etoo and Owen up front? There is enough creativity in midfield to enable us to go through the middle. I am sure Etoo and Owen would be happy to have balls threaded through the centre rather than crosses! Alright then, Cryuff. How do you suggest making the space to thread balls through the middle if there's absolutely no width to stretch the defence? Well you need 2 mobile strikers which we would have and at least a couple of players with good vision. If Emre, Barton and Deco bomb forward you will drag at least 1 of their midfielders backwards to track Deco and the fullbacks will tuck in to track Barton and Emre. One of your strikers drags a centreback out to the wing leaving a one on one for one of your strikers. Deco, Barton or Emre slides the ball in behind and one of your strikers uses his pace to beat the man as their will be no covering CB. Alternatively both of your strikers drag the cb's onto the wings leaving no CB's and at least one of Deco, Barton or Emre would break from their marker. There are many permutations but It will take too long. But you would probably be better with a leftback like Bridge enabling him and Geremi to bomb into the open space left by the fulbacks tracking barton and Emre. It would require alot of movement but defenders woiuld hate playing against it as they would get extremely tired extremely quickly. So basically it's a choice between no width or no midfield? I wouldn't say that when you have 4 central midfielders in your side. Explain why you suggest we will have no midfield because the midfield is dynamic. Do you want them to stand still and wait for the ball (remember only one player can have the ball at any one time) or make runs and create some space?
  17. Come on man we are just messing about. I think we all realise these systems won't be used. Yes you are probably right, 433 is the way we will go. Doesn't mean you can't discuss other systems.
  18. mackems.gif I am sure Owen is capable of pulling a central defender out to the wing. It's more about me trying to prove you can play without wingers provided you have the correct players in central midfield and a solid gameplan.
